Movecraft
NOW MOVED TO SPIGOTMC, CHECK HERE FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/movecraft.31321/

A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.

Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

Posted Jun 9, 2014Thanks, but I didn't have a chestshop on my ship; I don't know why the thing about chestshop came up. I even disabled chestshop, and now it says this instead:

I'm guessing the craft has a chestshop sign on it? It looks like the chestshop plugin can't handle the chestshop being moved. Which makes sense, because chestshop would want to know who placed the block, and movecraft doesn't provide a user for its block changes. I do run movecraft with chestshop on my own server though, and don't have issues. We actually have a pretty cool system where you can ship goods from one town to another for a profit using chestshops. But I have never tried putting a chestshop on an actual craft.
@GodsDead
I have restricted them to only rotating in my turret.craft file, but you don't have to. You could, in theory, allow them to be moved. You could have a "deployable turret" for example, where its inside the ships hull most of the time but you deploy it to to fire. You would have to release the primary ship to move it, though. You can rotate without releasing.
On all the "6"s you see on your console, I bet I left some debugging on. I'll go find it and turn it off and get an updated build out. On the obstruction thing, you should be seeing something like:
"The craft cannot move because its path is obstructed! @ -460,84,752"
If it is a craft that has no pilot (IE: a torpedo or a turret), it will put that on the server console instead of telling the pilot.

Posted Jun 9, 2014Hi, I'm running a 1.7.4 (I think? :P Works for 1.7.1-1.7.5 clients) server, having set CompatabilityMode: true and updating to a dev model for the data value thing I'm getting this error:
17:03:28 CONSOLE: WARN]: [Movecraft] Task #39 for Movecraft v3.1.${env.BUILD_NUMBER} generated an exception 17:03:28 CONSOLE: ERROR]: Could not pass event BlockPhysicsEvent to ChestShop v3.7.9 17:03:29 CONSOLE: Source) [?:?] 17:03:29 CONSOLE: Source) [?:1.7.0-ea] 17:03:29 CONSOLE: Source) [?:1.7.0-ea] 17:03:29 CONSOLE: ERROR]: Could not pass event BlockPhysicsEvent to ChestShop v3.7.9 17:03:29 CONSOLE: Source) [?:?] 17:03:29 CONSOLE: Source) [?:1.7.0-ea] 17:03:29 CONSOLE: Source) [?:1.7.0-ea] 17:03:29 CONSOLE: ERROR]: [Movecraft] Severe error in map updater 17:03:29 CONSOLE: ERROR]: [Movecraft] Severe error in map updater 17:03:29 CONSOLE: ERROR]: [Movecraft] Severe error in map updater
The ship moves successfully one block and then glitches out.
Er, just so you know. I'm guessing you can't fix this.
Thanks.

Posted Jun 9, 2014Another question, these "turrets" are they just craft files that are restricted to rotate only? So in essence lazy susan's lol! If so what's the mark-up for limiting this?

Funny you should ask that...
I just finished the latest features of Movecraft, which will probably be it for this version. The new features / bug fixes are:
This is in addition to all the previous enhancements. Here are the highlights:
flyblocks:
["5:1","5:2","5:3",35]:
- 50.0
- 100.0
this would include spruce, birch, and jungle oak planks as well as any kind of wool, which would all count towards the flyBlock requirement. But it would not include oak ("5:0"), acacia ("5:4"), or dark oak planks ("5:5")
I will give it a few days and do some testing, and then submit everything to AJCStriker to post the next release version.

Okay, also, could you make it so If you have to Cruise signs, and you turn one on, the other one turns on?
Also, if you have a lit furnace, and fuel in it, it doesn't count it.
Also, while a dispenser launched tnt, and the ship is moving, it keeps firing it.

I'm afraid I don't like it. Sinking/crashing is meant to be a catastrophic and often fatal situation. Certainly for the craft involved. Running out of fuel happens all the time, and people would get frustrated if they lost their expensive and time consuming creations every time it happened. Not to mention that airships don't sink when they run out of fuel.
I was able to reproduce the problem with redstone popping off dispensers. Something I recently changed to prevent dispensers from firing during movement must have broken it again. I'll work on it.
EDIT: the destroyer from schematics online is a little old and unfortunately that website does not allow me to update it. It has chests in the back arrange in a diagonal pattern vertically. When it sinks, that sometimes causes problems because the top chest sinks down to being inline with the bottom chest. Remove the chests and it should be fine.

What about "To make it more realistic, make it if you're out of fuel and flying, you fall down." (Suggestion)
Plugins: http://imgur.com/B7QwEvm
Version: "This server is running CraftBukkit version git-Spigot-1486 (MC: 1.7.9) (Implementing API version 1.7.9-R0.2-SNAPSHOT)
Also, sometimes If a boat (the schematic online one) sinks, and your flying a 9 block air skiff, you lag out and get kicked. Then the functional-destroyer no longer sinks, and sometimes randomly boats cant be controlled. (Rare), I have to reload it with a plugin manager or via /reload or restart. Its rare to happen, 1-10% of the time.
Also, how does the ship move? Worldedit? Because with worldedit, there is an addon called AsyncWorldedit, that reduces it lag by a lot. It does it by chunks. It hardly lags/crashes the server. Just sayin'

Yeah, the "Functional Destroyer" is one of my designs, I use it all the time without redstone popping off. I wonder if another plugin may be interfering with the redstone cleanup. What other plugins do you run? What server version are you on?
Unfortunately the only way to have crafts that have been released sinkable would be to retain each craft in memory indefinitely, which would bring servers to their knees. Launching fighters on a sinking ship leads to collision problems, but I may put something in place in the future.

Yes latest version., and the redstone isn't just signs, and doors are getting removed.
Also, could you make it so, even if the ship isn't controlled, it can still sink? Its more fun that way.. And If you have a skiff on an airship, while its sinking the skiff cannot be used for some reason... emergency thing doesn't work?
Airplane (Made by member on server): https://db.tt/AOYuj2Z7
(Signs, buttons, levers only)
Functional Destroyer (Online schematic): https://db.tt/6Em9QSDT
(Redstone only, mostly..)

Could you save a schematic or provide a screenshot so I can see the exact configuration of redstone that is falling off? Redstone working is important to me, and I want to make sure people can't abuse the system to get free redstone drops. They used to be able to, but I thought I fixed it. You are using the latest version from the link I gave you, right?

Okay, I just added glowstone, and on this plane, its not breaking, but signs and comparators keep dropping items, but they are replaced backe every time.
Doors pop off, and stay removed. (If on outside)
Also, to make it more realistic, make it if you're out of fuel and flying, you fall down.
