A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.

Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.

Also the builds on that site are more up to date than the builds on this site, so download the latest version there. Please be aware the builds on that site have not been checked by the dev.bukkit.org staff, so use at your own risk.
Here is a brief summary of Movecraft features covered on that site:
Control Method Options
- Sign and Pilot Tool
- Sign only
- Direct Control (the players movements control the craft)
- Misc Commands - /manoverboard, /release, etc
- Remote Signs to remotely activate command signs from other parts of the ship (Turn turrets, launch torpedoes, etc)
Craft Options
- Basic craft configuration options including size, speed, allowed block types, required blocks, etc
- Customizable Cruise Control to keep the craft moving forward
- Customizable Fuel Burning behavior
- Customizable sinking/crashing behavior including smoke, explosion on impact, and uncontrollable dives
- Restricting motion to horizontal or vertical planes
- Customizable "Hover" land contour following behavior for cars and surface vehicles
- Optional craft teleportation
- Require water contact for sailing ships and water craft
- Crafts that explode when they collide with things for ramming or torpedoes
- Repair signs to repair your ship, requires mats, and can require a fee
Server Options
- Customizable Pilot Tool for craft control (or you can disable it to force sign only movement)
- Man Overboard timeout to allow anyone who falls out of a craft to get back in it
- Configurable WorldGuard protection against moving into forbidden areas or sinking over protected areas
Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

Statistics <> This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
A unique identifier
The server's version of Java
Whether the server is in offline or online mode
The plugin's version
The server's version
The OS version/name and architecture
The core count for the CPU
The number of players online
The Metrics version
Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true. <>

Source Code
Source Code is hosted on GitHub and commits are built by Jenkins CI. The Jenkins is not currently publicly accessible.
Builds are regularly posted to BukkitDev from our CI System.
Localisation
Localisation is fully integrated into Movecraft 3. Locale can be set inside the config.yml.
Due to a bug in GetLocalisations software, language packs are not currently available for download. We apologise for the delay and are working to get them uploaded to BukkitDev ASAP.

I really appreciate your taking the initiative here for all of us who have been waiting. Using your JAR, our vehicles still can't move past the old Y block limit :S Anything we could be doing wrong?

Posted Jan 3, 2013MoveCraft can handle any amount you throw at it, but keep this in mind: With increased size comes major server hits, as well as exponential slowdown in movement speed. IE we have a 12k block ship we moved to a resting location that ran 1 block every 30 seconds.

e.g. Wools, I want all colors except black and white to be structure because they are for roads, but when i put 35:1 it gives error

Tried it a couple times, seems plugman doesnt like to let manual changes so took a manual reboot on the server to get that to work =D thanks for that though seems I need to look at how plugman actually does things and rethink its use >.>

Posted Dec 22, 2012I for one indeed would like to see the update released. I have been watching the madrealms forums as well and have yet to hear too much about a release through all my searching. I do agree that this is one of the best plugins for minecraft I and many of the users that our server has had have ever used. It is actually of high demand and the reason I have not been pushed to do the 1.4.6 update by our users as they anxiously await an update for this plugin above all others.
I have been using this plugin since SycoPrime took it over, though he had some ungrateful users I always tried to make constructive posts and always show my thanks to him in any way I could to keep his spirits up. AJC did do some great improvements on this plugin even if all the functionality that its previous versions had were not fully there any longer, for that I am grateful and offer my thanks.
As this plugin is so dire to many a server that I know of, and many more that I do not I wish to make this statement.
With all due respect I would request a more active updating schedule on the progress of this plugin, even if it is a once a week update to the bottom of the page saying "hey I haven't had time due to classes" or "I took the week off for holiday" etc it at the very least keeps faith in the author that he is indeed here and active.
If the intention is not to release a version to the public and make it a madrealms exclusive (Understandable however our game play style does not coincide with the format of madrealms so we do not partake much there) then please let the users of this plugin be aware of that and set this plugin to inactive so that another developer can pick up where you left off. It is understandable to wan't to use ones own code for your own purposes and maintain a level of control on it, however as this plugin was originated by others and released to the public I believe that it should not be taken away from those it was granted to and who have come to rely on it, so if your version is to stay on madrealms exclusively please be kind and pass the public project to another person.
Now to those that ask "please do this" or "can you do that" in the comments, please be aware that any request can lengthen the time of development of any project. I would suggest awaiting a release (or the passing of the project to another) or if it is that dire of a need taking a look in the jar file itself as it contains all you need to modify the plugin, you just need to do a little code and footwork on your own (which is not too difficult with the correct reading material).
Thank you AJC for all of your work, and please do not take this as a "hurry up and do it" message we here at NSE only request a little more active information so we can stay informed (and as an added nicety using the subscription system would keep us up to date as well since it is set to broadcast to all our admins phones/emails).

Posted Dec 20, 2012O.o Returning for the third time after going on a server hiatus twice for a few months each.
The new version still isn't out? O.o I'm really not trying to push, I just remember the devs saying months ago that they had a fully functional version running on their server with many of these issues fixed and only needed to find ten minutes to compile it. Really surprised it still hasn't been updated. Movecraft is easily my favorite plugin and I wouldn't hesitate to donate were it updated a little more readily - I'm not expecting it to be treated like a job or anything, just surprised that ten minutes turned into months.
How are things on the developmental end? Believe me, I don't mean that in spite or anything :S

This is meant with all due respect, but after reading the comments for the past few months, I can't help but feel a bit irked. For many many months now we've been promised a new version, but almost every single comment you've posted has been "But madrealms has it." Seeing things like this:

Updated versions of this strand of movecraft will be available as soon as 1.4 is released. The version we use at madrealms, is going to remain internal for the time being.
Followed by comments about how you're not posting the new version for "simple reluctance" seems really excuse-ridden. I remember seeing you say once that the update was "ten minutes away if you could find the time to compile." I'm a busy person; I'm in college. I know you have things to do, but noone who spends -that much time updating- just stops at the finish line and says "meh. later." I feel that it is clear that you're abandoning general updating of the plugin, and I only wish that you would take down the donation request at the end and tell people that you no longer care to update it and pass it off so it can be cared for by the crowd who actually care for it, because what's going on now is slowly killing one of the coolest plugins that I've ever seen for minecraft.
You may think what I'm saying has bite, but I only mean to do the plugin and the work of the people before you justice. It isn't fair to keep holding people out and saying that "you'll do it at X time." "Just Y more minutes" when you clearly have no problems updating it for madrealms and no intentions of a public release. You can deny it all you like, but in the end, actions speak louder than words. I really appreciate the updates that you did make to the plugin in the past, I only wish you'd do the plugin and the servers that use it justice and not hold back on the hopes for future development by allowing someone else to manage development. It isn't fair to simply try to "hold on" to it to make it exclusive, as you're not the only one who worked on, supported, or had hoped to see movecraft become something great.
I'd like to ask that others who feel the same way voice their concerns, too.

If you break a block on a boat and then place another block on it IE: dirt then move the block and boom the item reappears so it can dupe wool and everything FIX IT PLEASE.

Even if you rename or move the templates the plugin rebuilds them on reboot.

In the Movecraft folder is a template file called train.txt - if you rename that to something other than "train" it should solve the conflict.
