Movecraft
NOW MOVED TO SPIGOTMC, CHECK HERE FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/movecraft.31321/

A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.

Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

Superb, this makes more sense now, I presume when CruseSpeed is set it ignores the normal speed? Also im getting that error again, it seems to be linked to DobuleChests and crafts that do not allow chests. http://pastebin.com/QY3XKSTs

A more mathematically correct representation would be: "speed * (1+cruiseskipblocks)"
You add, then multiply. Think of it this way: the skip blocks is how many blocks it "skips" in addition to the 1 block it was going to move anyway. It does that "speed" times per second.

Posted Nov 12, 2015Trying to figure out the maths behind the cruise speed.
The speed of cruising is the ships "speed" setting multiplied by 1 + the cruiseSkipBlocks setting.
I don't understand why the ships speed is times by 1, it'll always equal the same as the speed always, anything * 1 will always be the same? Hopefully this is a typo on planetminecraft.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm afraid there is no command to list types right now. You can limit access to certain ships by permissions, but it sounds like what you really want is the ability to control who can fly your ship. A recently added feature is the pilot: sign, where no one can fly a ship that has a pilot sign unless their name is on the pilot sign. (Except players with the movecraft.bypasslock permission). To get this new version, you can use the link from the projectes PMC page:

In the file itself you should see the first line which says: name: Airship The name there is what people will have to put on the command sign. The actual filename doesn't matter as long as it ends in .craft, but it is a common practice to make it the same as the craft type name.

Posted Oct 19, 2015Loraxe,
Thank you so much for this awesome plugin! I love it, even better than the full airship mods I have tried. They might fly prettier, but they don't actually function as well. This is a very well-thought-out plugin that should be a mainstay for anyone running a bukkit/spigot server.
I have two questions: 1. Is there a command to list the current types in the types folder? I saw on a wiki page of unkown origin a command like /movecraft list to show current types and their various ratios. Obviously as I run the server, I'm very familiar with the ins and outs of the plugin, but a lot of my users aren't quite comfortable with it, and I was wondering if I could direct them to any in-game commands, or if I need to make the list available through some other means.
2. Is there a way to limit access to a given ship by player or faction? We just implemented factions, and with the smaller ships this isn't really a concern, because I can hangar all my airskiffs in a place where people outside my faction can't get access without pillaging. However, a full airship with 3k blocks isn't something I can easily tuck away in a corner, and I don't want someone able to just take a 12-block skiff to my door and take the vessel over if I haven't parked it in my territory.
Thanks!

Posted Oct 17, 2015Hi i recently got movecraft and i am making a server to do with sailing and trade routes and stuff like that.
i have got the server and added the plugin but i want to rename the .craft files (only the ship.craft one) to different ship names with different ship speeds and minimum and max sizes . i know how to make the max and min sizes i also know how to change the speed but could someone please tell me how i change the name of the file so that i can write Dinghy for example on a sign and it would detect the craft.
