Well this is as good as dead but the future looks bleak for all of my plugins. No promises on what will happen in the near future...

MoreMobs has officially been succeed by Monster Apocalypse. Its a great plugin and is VERY worthy of taking over this plugin. MoreMobs Lite DOES work on Minecraft 1.0 but MoreMobs was never updated, you may continue to use this plugin if you wish but i strongly encourage you check out Monster Apocalypse We had a good run, thanks to everyone who had a part in it!

MoreMobs Lite

MoreMobs Lite is a smaller, simpler version of MoreMobs, you can find out more here.
What Is it?
MoreMobs listens for mobs to spawn NATURALLY (not via spawner of command) and spawns more of that mob. I found this is actually pretty sweet and makes the sheep herds look a bit more realistic :) it also makes night fighting more fun! Any Sheep spawned by this plugin will be colored! The coloring is completely random! MoreMobs will make Giants spawn naturally! You can now TRULY make more mobs spawn and not just increase the amount already spawned. There is now an option to allow animals (Chickens, Cows, Wolves, and Pigs) to spawn in loaded chunks. See bellow for more details. NEW! Mob damage and Mob health are now configurable along with the ability to stop Skeletons and Zombies from burning in sunlight. See the config page.
Why Do I Want It?
Well it's fun and if you don't like fun...well your a boring person and you should probably go play some Minecraft. And it adds colored sheep! And you can get rid of those nasty-looking squids! And you can see naturally spawned Giants!
Commands
As of v1.4 there is now 1 command available:
/mmreload - Reloads the plugin
How Do I Install It?
Just dump it in your Plugins folder. After you have run it at least once a folder called MoreMobs will appear in your Plugins directory. Inside there is one file, config.yml, take a look at the config page.

Bugs We're Aware Of
- IT DON'T WORK ON 1.0!!!
No sound is played when your attacked if you set a custom damage valueFIXED! Except on instant kills...If you set a custom damage value armor is ignoredFIXED! It could use some testing but I think I fixed it...Mobs don't seem to spawn in already loaded chunksFIXED! I changed chunkPopulate to chunkLoad which seems to have fixed this but it needs some testing...Add cool-down timePROBABLY FIXED BUT UNTESTED! Because I'm no longer canceling the event this SHOULD be fixed but it needs testing...Giants are acting very weird and spawn like crazy even if disabled...POSSIBLY FIXED I'LL TEST IT WHEN I GET HOME!

probably not...i decided to dedicate tonite to Spyer2 but ill try to get a lite version out soon! BTW there is a possible successor to this plugin being made RITE now...
EDIT: dam it i thought u said "tonite" not "though" :D yes we plan to get this baby workin on 1.0 then maybe we'll call it quits...it all depends if we think that plugin i mentioned above is a worthy successor...

I just went to forums.bukkit.org for the first time in ages and discovered I had 2 notification, one of them being Mr. Hammale telling me to check out his MoreMobs plugin, which I had already been using. I didn't even know you made this plugin. I don't often check the name before I download. :3

yes he is very sick indeed and he does not recommend u use this on any 1.0 server. Jobud9 is also a bit busy w/ ChatterBox so it may be a few days :(

yeah but it seemed to EXPLODE when i put it on a 1.0 server :D i also hear reports that the armor changed so all of the custom damage probably broke to.

Posted Dec 8, 2011Will this allow for animals to spawn in loaded chunks that are ocean biome chunks? This is something i would really like for islands on my server. If you ever got this to hook into worldguard it would be even better for my server so that I could enable animal spawning per region rather then by loaded chunks.
Edit: I tossed this onto my test server and found out that it does spawn animals in an ocean biome. Thank you for the great plugin. Looking forward to the lite version.
