Warning - Zombie digging is destructive, if you turn it on and configure it, please backup your worlds.
Plugin has been thoroughly tested as working properly, if you have trouble please report it so I can make it work for a wider range of setups!
PLEASE USE CRAFTBUKKIT 1.11 (R1) for version 19.6. Only Spigot supports this build. No other builds will work with this version.

Config
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/config/
(Is partially updated)
You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:
https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/bukkit/org/bukkit/Material.html
You may want to play with Spawn Points, you can find the info here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/spawn-points/
If you wish to develop your own plugin with my health API, check this page:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/health-api/
For Nightmare Mode, check here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/nightmare-mode/
Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

I am using Spout, but the issue is that your plugin over-rides all other mob control plugins. The issue here is that it doesn't achieve the desire I am after.
Perhaps allowing the server to be Global or only effect monsters spawned through the Virtual Spawners?

This has been requested before, but I'm not going to be doing this since WorldGuard is so antiquated.
As to areas of strength, you will either need to do this by controlling spawn rates or a more fantasy-based RPG plugin, probably with spout.

Posted Jun 16, 2012Ahoy!
Yes, me again, already!
I'm wondering if it is possible for this plugin to limit itself to only handling the monsters it spawns to the configuration. As I mentioned, I intend to basically have a "Two-Tier" Monster system.
Those in the starter or lower level areas are weaker, have less health and are less punishing. While those in high-level areas are the ones set by another plugin.
Is it at all possible to do this?
Edit: Upon further thinking, could it be possible to set up an option for WorldGuard support? Basically rather then setting up each individual spawn point, you can set up a region to have all the monster properties already available. Spawn timers, Spawn chances, loot, health & damage?

Posted Jun 16, 2012I'm looking for a plugin that will let me spawn these certain configured monsters in a set location and area.
I want to do this actually for the reserve of what this plugin is designed to do. I want to make a few areas have slightly weaker, easier and less rewarding monsters. This plugin seems to do all of that.
The problem is I can't seem to find any any to ensure that these monster configurations only load in a certain WorldGuard area. Can anyone show me the command, or where I can configure this?

Mega-aggro for all the mobs but those three spawns temporary silverfish as waypoints and set the mobs to target them.
A fix for these waypoints appearing on players has been implemented already, you'll see it included among other things soon.

Our server is 1g up/down and 5gb RAM, I'm not sure that's an issue... Everything else is working totally fine. I've disabled silverfish, but they're still appearing for some odd reason. I will try disabling the other monsters, thanks.

I'll look into it for the next minor patch, although I'm not quite sure what can be done yet.

Posted Jun 15, 2012Theres a bug were if you use custom spawn prop's and a magma cube spawns in a block it duplicates alot causing mass lag..
can you make a prop's section for the magma cube in the config so i can turn respawn on death off..!
or fix the plugin so mobs dont spawn in a block then die..

@uamadman
If you are having this issue, it means your server is too laggy to use mega-aggro for mobs other than Skeletons, Creepers, and Zombies. So either disable mega-aggro, or don't spawn the other hostiles. I will implement a semi-fix for the next minor patch, which should have no downside on speedy servers.

Posted Jun 14, 2012Hey! The plugin has only one problem for us. It causes silverfish to be constantly spawning on the block we're standing on, pushing us away, and despawning. This is causing issues with AntiCheat thinking we're hacking and kicking us as well as being incredibly annoying.
Aside from that I'm incredibly happy for the plugin. Thank you for this. If you can fix this game-breaking bug it would be nearly perfect. Zombies being a lot more liberal in breaking blocks would be nice, it seems they're very hesitant to break any.

Neither of those in particular would cause problems. What you have to watch out for is decimals and dashes. I'll fix the harmless extra colon though.
