Config
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/config/
(Is partially updated)
You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:
https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/bukkit/org/bukkit/Material.html
You may want to play with Spawn Points, you can find the info here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/spawn-points/
If you wish to develop your own plugin with my health API, check this page:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/health-api/
For Nightmare Mode, check here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/nightmare-mode/
Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

Posted Jun 18, 2012First off, I absolutely love your plugin. I use it to host a mob-infested city in combination with the Cityworld generator, it's absolutely epic. I just wish we could have it so zombies would break blocks to get to the player without being attacked first, just like it used to be. Could this be added in a future update?

Those are simply proportions of each mob, if they spawn. 50.0 skeleton 50.0 zombie produces half zombies, half skeletons in the waves.
I'll be posting a commented config later today.

When did this become like this ? Also i have another problem with spawning chances, it does not seem to matter much if i set magma cubes as bonus spawn at 0.001 or 10.0 why is this ?

They have to be attacking you, try punching them first and make sure you're not in creative.
Also make sure you're using the NEW zombie method, it's much better.

Posted Jun 17, 2012I can not get block breaking to work properly unless i attack the zombie so it faces the correct direction and have me targeted but some times not even that technique work.
I can not remember these problems existing in the old 6.1 using mc 1.1
Is there a fix or workaround for these problems ?
For example if it set cobblestone to 1 sec it still takes them 30-120 sec to break one block unless im in a spot they like or have me in the correct directions.

Monster Apocalypse is designed with extending vanilla in mind, making individual mob types / special zone levels is FAR out of the scope intended, as there is nothing remotely resembling this in a hard 'vanilla' type setup.
Good luck finding another plugin you can work with.

Okay. I assumed it was possible as another plugin (Likeaboss) makes an occasional rare mob that has more Health, does more damage and drops better loot.
Thanks for the information. Great plugin, but unfortunately doesn't perform the function I need.

Monster Apocalypse is designed as a standalone plugin, (as most plugins should be), and thus will affect all spawns. Unfortunately, it is not feasible to try to control it and prevent interference with other plugins. It is also not feasible to adjust monster properties based on regions.

I think we're getting some crossed wires here, so I'll re-detail the situation and issues more clearly.
I'm attempting to use your Monster Spawning function only for a starter area, a small Island. I want this because it has a separate configuration, and I want to ensure that newcomers don't get to lucky straight away with random drops, and that they're lower health & damage then naturally spawning monsters.
I want this because we have a leveling system, and I don't want the same difficulty monsters all over the world. I would like that once you leave the Training Island, you're going to encounter monsters that are configured from another plugin, to have more Health & Damage.
The issue I am facing is that your plugin is over-riding all of the spawn & monster configurations, whether they are your virtual spawn points, natural spawns or monster spawns.
I'm just wondering that whether or not WorldGuard or Individual Configuration is possible. You mentioned it has been asked to include WorldGuard support, and as it is almost used by every server, I feel it'll add a lot to your plugin. Alternatively you could make it so your plugin only effects the monsters it spawns.
Please let me know if this makes the issue any clearer. I've tried everything you've suggested, and yet all of my monsters are effected by your configuration. Thank you!

You shouldn't have a problem if you ONLY enable spawnpoints from the default settings. It might read spawns, but it won't do anything.
@sharf224
There are none that I know of.

Spawning Changes is disabled, and yet any monster spawned in-game is still affected by your plugin. Is there no way of working around this, or simply enabling a configuration to make it work as I've suggested?

I suggest you disable spawning changes (disabled by default), and then just use spawn points.
@sharf224
Correct, it cannot be done currently. The functionality would be extremely simple to implement as a standalone plugin.

Posted Jun 16, 2012Have to say I love the plugin, good job!
I do have a question though. I want creepers(or perhaps some other monster) to explode when they are close to you, like creepers do, and then spawn another mob when they self destruct. However, if you kill them, they do not explode/do not spawn anything. As far as I can figure, you can only add the spawn mobs on death option when they are KILLED not when they self destruct. If this can't be done, perhaps it can be added in a future update?
Thanks, sharf.
