Welcome to the ultimate monster hell. I have brought together everything anyone everyone could ever want to do with monsters into one completely hellbent plugin. Use at your own risk.
Warning - Zombie digging is destructive, if you turn it on and configure it, please backup your worlds.
Plugin has been thoroughly tested as working properly, if you have trouble please report it so I can make it work for a wider range of setups!
PLEASE USE CRAFTBUKKIT 1.11 (R1) for version 19.6. Only Spigot supports this build. No other builds will work with this version.

You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:

Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

I'll see if I can bugfix the first issue.
I don't know what you're using for your bosses, but Monster Apocalypse is not known to be compatible with those plugins. I haven't personally found problems with arrows.

The cries of anguish from my players brings joy to my heart.
I do have a few problems though, and looking through the config doesn't seem to shed any light on the problem.
1st problem:
It looks as if the first attack made against any mob only causes 1 point of damage.
The first attack seems to completely ignore and sharpness / power enchants on your weapon.
If you make another attack quickly after the 1st one, then the normal damage occurs.
I suppose this is coded into the addon to require ' double tap' to kill zombies.
I need a way to turn this off.
2nd problem:
Im using Citizens2 / Sentry to create custom boss areas.
When the Monster Apocalypse addon is running, projectile damage is out of control
I can configure a custom NPC boss with 1,000,000 HP and 1 bow shot to them takes their HP down to 1/1,000,000.
This only happens when MA is running. If I disable MA and try, the damage against them is what it should be.
Ive looked though the config and cannot find any setting having to do with increased projectile damage.
I did see this setting here:
Check for the deaggro permission for entity attacks, shooting super arrows, and mega-aggro?: false
but im not really sure what that does.
Could that be the setting i need to change in order to tone down these arrows?
(Also, it looks like the increased damage also effects reflected fireballs)
This problem is pretty major and completely ruins these dungeon crawls.
all in all a very cool addon.
Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

Just shut down and set the setting:

De-opped myself and tried and the uber arrow damage is still there.

You might have your "spawn distance" settings messed up, or a vanilla soft cap too low and you're only using vanilla spawns.
Also, creative mode players do not spawn monsters around them.

Zombie corpse piling allows zombies to build their way to players above them. This is the block involved.

You need to add test to your world list near the top. Giants can't break blocks.

MA does not support biomes. Also, what is a curtain biome?

Mega-aggro and zombies attacking walls are EXTREMELY heavy performance eaters if you have a lot of mobs/zombies spawned. You can remedy this problem by reducing your monster spawns and compensating for the difficulty in other ways. For example, cut your spawns in half but roughly double their combat power. Personally, I like using somewhat low spawns, double hp/dmg, and low block timers. Or, you can disable those features and the lag won't return.

Posted May 14, 2013Hey i was wondering if you could do a performance boost/have any possible solutions to this... When i used nolaggs /lag examine command i got these results: Monster Apocalypse: 9341 ms
Thats sort of a comparison in terms on the lag this plugin was generating at the time (about 3 minutes after boot, but the values are still the highest afterwards)
specific causes of lag: Task #27 ($wallattacker): 4919 ms Task #3: ($torchdestroyer): 4356 ms then the other parts are 43 ms or lower.
That's just a quick comparison of the lag of these 2 compartments of your amazing plugin. Whether this lag issue is possible to fix/is fixed or not i will still use this plugin but i was wondering if there was any chance that this could be fixed or enhanced? Those are the values i got, you can try them yourself and u will probably come out on top. But ya, good luck if you choose to try to speed it up a bit xD

Its at the default under bukkit.yml (70). If this is the case, wouldn't everyone downloading this plugin have to raise it? I will raise it, but I've never had to do so in the past.

and "Only enable naturalistic bonus spawns on one selected world?: true"
"Naturalistic bonus spawn world name: world"
is the world name Format "world,world01,world02"? or only one world can setting?
and one suggest is possible Giant can break block ?

When you enable corpse piling, zombies will either die and place, or just place gravel to reach a player above them. you can set in the config how long before it starts, and if they die doing so or not.

Posted May 13, 2013I seem to be running into some sort of problem. Around my main spawn, its always chaos. Monsters everywhere...which is awesome. But I have a place away from spawn, and I can walk around for a full night sometimes with only seeing 1 skeleton appear.

Posted May 13, 2013Small bug, setting 'use mega aggro' for spiders does nothing, they still follow it. Its mildly annoying, but I would like to see it fixed at some point ^_^
