Description:
MobDisguise is a plugin allowing you to transform into any mob you want, with no client mods! Just simple type /md disguise pig, and boom, everybody now sees and thinks your a pig! Can't quite take out the enemy pvp team? Transform into chickens, and sneak behind enemy lines! It even includes an API for other plugins to hook into, and can change players into mobs too!
Features:
- Disguise as any mob and be seen as such by all other players
- Enable or disable per-mob permissions, or give the .* permission for all of them
- Blacklist certain mobs you don't want
- Enable "RealDrops" and on death, a disguised player drops the correct item for his mob disguise, not his normal inventory
- A simple API that plugins can hook into to disguise/undisguise players
Commands:
All commands begin with /md, short for MobDisguise, to provide a simple command system
- /md baby ; toggle being a baby animal!
- /md stats ; Tells you what you're disguised or if you are disguised
- /md ; Turns you back into human form if disguised
- /md types ; Will give you a list of all valid mob types
- /md p [nameofplayer] ; Lets you disguise as that player!
- /md [mobtype] ; Will disguise you as the given mobtype
Permissions (PermissionsBukkit, bPermissions, PEX, but NOT! Permissions 3.1.6:
- mobdisguise.* ;Gives a player the ability to transform into all mobs
- mobdisguise.mob.[mobtype] ; Replace [mobtype] with the mobtype players can turn into
- mobdisguise.player ; Lets a player turn into othe players

How to Install:
- Before installing, read the FAQ and see the page for common errors and how to fix .
- Download MobDisguise, here!
- Place .jar in your plugins folder.
- Done!

Posted Jan 29, 2012The following feature would be highly appreciated on pvp server: an option to undisguise a player when he attack someone (player or mob). That would be perfect, and i heard somebody did it and make a version of md with this (Aretsukusu)

I was answering your "also" question. Currently you can't see yourself as what you disguise as. It doesn't really seem necessary, but whether or not that is added is up to desmin88. It would likely require some client-side mod (possibly Spoutcraft).

Posted Jan 28, 2012@Devil_Boy: That didn't completely answer my question. For example if I was disguised as a chicken would it be possible for me to see myself as a chicken or if I was disguised as a different person would I be able to see myself as that person?

Posted Jan 28, 2012I have some suggestions for a future update. Suggestion 1: If this is possible, make so that if i am disguised as a zombie for example, and then kills a player, it should pop up: "Playername" was killed by a zombie." instead of "Playername1" was killed by "Playername2." Also, if i am disguised and gets killed, it shouldn't say anything in the chat. That would make it alot more awesome. Still good plugin tho, and i use it every day to troll people on my server. Suggestion 2: If you are disguised as a creeper, you should be able to hold right click to charge, and if you hold it for those 2 seconds, you explode. Then you die, and the player you explode on die. But as i mentioned on suggestion 1, it should not say anything about a player that killed him.

Posted Jan 28, 2012Will you ever be able to see yourself as the disguised mob/player? Also I would like some help with the chat plugin I'm using not putting text from the player name that I am being disguised as. Essentials Chat is the chat plugin I am using.

Posted Jan 28, 2012PLEASE somebody tell me how to enable mob damage to disguised players! I cant figure it out for the life of me. Theres no config, and thers not many permissions so how is it done?? Please somebody answer this asap! My players are simply grinding without worry while disguised! i cant have that!

Looking at his code, the blacklist shouldn't be overridden by permissions. Rememeber, true means they can disguise as that mob, and false means they can't.

Then either you haven't been using MobDisguise right, or you have a bad version. The player's display name is set in his "disguisep2pToAll" method in PacketUtils.java.

Posted Jan 28, 2012If you give a group the "mobdisguise.*" permission, does that override the config file true/false settings? Because it seems to be doing that. =/
I didn't expect it to work like that, but it's fine, if it's supposed too. I just defined my permission settings better to compensate. lol

Don't take me wrong, I totally agree with your comments about license placement. :)
I was just pointing out that his license is fully compatible with the conditions of open-source.
You had your comments about the licensing in separated comments and I was only replying to the ones related to the Github TOS.
