MobCatcher allows players to capture mobs and get the corresponding spawn eggs. This is useful for trading and transporting mobs from player to player or even across worlds. As well as having a configurable capture item, MobCatcher also boasts configurable mob types and item costs per capture, bringing a new economic value to mob types both peaceful and hostile. MobCatcher is able to store and recall mob specific data saved to specific spawn eggs. This means things like capturing and spawning colored sheep, baby animals, and tamed wolves is possible! This is done via a separate .dat file which saves data for each mob and removes it when that mob is spawned.Try it out on your server today!
This plugin collects basic usage information for mcstats.org. You may opt out in the generated pluginMetrics config file.

Usage
All you have to do is hold an egg (configurable) and left click on the mob you wish to capture. Its really that easy.
/mobc - Displays all command usage
/mobc item - Displays Capture item setting
/mobc clean - Removes data from a spawn egg itemstack.
/mobc projectiles - Displays current projectile settings
/mobc settings [mob type] - Displays settings
/mobc worlds - Displays which worlds MobCatcher is enabled in
/mobc area - displays how many Protection Signs the player is within the radius of
/mobc resetsigndata - Deletes all saved sign data

MobCatcher will NOT work if you are not using the version of CB it was intended for. Due to the Bukkit "safeguard' system, MobCatcher will break every version change. Do NOT post tickets or comments about ClassNotFoundExceptions or infinite spawning glitches as these are caused by you using the wrong version.
Before posting a bug, check your server console for a giant red error message.

MobCatcher doesn't cancel any natural spawns. If you have something definitive make a ticket, but I don't think there's anything I can do at this point.

Hello, i just want to ask you if you know that mobcatcher influence spawning mobs. Because on hardcore map, there aren't many mobs. And i know, an old mobcatcher build distrub spawn villagers. I'm french, if you don't understand what I explain, say me XD thx..

I can't think of why that would be MobCatcher's fault. If you can verify that your cats do not despawn with no plugins, and that they do with only MobCatcher, please make a ticket.

It usually will still work just fine, as long as your spigot build is built against whatever version that version of mobcatcher was intended to be used on. That's not guaranteed tho. The worst thing that could happen is that a billion mobs would spawn out of control and you'd have to stop the server :)
If it appears to be working, then no. Everything is fine and it won't do any harm to your server.

This sounds like a bug report complaint. Is it not?
That guy, rather than asking for help, made a stuck up comment about how my plugin isn't good enough to be on his server. I responded in the exact same fashion; that he wasn't worth my time legitimately responding to.

I've not insulted anyone. Reread the conversation.
The dispenser bug is already fixed for the next release. It was working for months and then was broken by a bukkit update, not an error of my own.
If you are having an issue, make a ticket. That's how things get fixed; not by blurting out a giant, unintelligible, poorly organized run-on sentence riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. I have no idea what your issue is.

He said that the error you made is stupid, not that you are. I myself have been dealing with plugins for 2 years straight as a server admin/owner, and STILL make silly mistakes. I swear yesterday I gave 3 permissions to the player Premium, instead of the group. 4 days ago I banged my head why essentials.gm was not a working permission, and it turned out to be essentials.gamemode. So, please, describe your perms plugin, the given permissions in your setup, and what exactly is wrong, and we will do our best as a friendly community to figure your problem. :)

Negated permissions not working is simply a problem with your setup, your permissions plugin and your lack of knowledge about permissions, and has nothing to do with this plugin itself.
