As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Treasure hunt is meant to be a global game that doesn't stop running. The reason it spawns outside is because it tries to spawn within an air block, so its initial location would have been in a wall and it wanted to get to the top. No way to avoid this presently.

No, LMS was removed in 1.5 (change logs, I write them for a reason...) Its deathmatch with 1 life now.

Posted Jun 19, 2013Nice plugin, I've made a lot of minigames by this plugin... Though I'm using v1.5.1, well I have a problem. When we play Paintball, we play it well... After we died, the scoreboard will be, is there anyway to view it? Before death, it's be vulnerable

Posted Jun 19, 2013Fun Plugin.
I'm trying to make a simple Treasure Hunt in an underground maze.
Couple of questions. When the Treasure is spawn it will occasionally place it outside the maze area - Vertically. The Treasure will spawn above ground. Is there an option to keep the Treasure confined within a Y-coordinate?
Also. Is there a way to start the game with a sign and then completely stop the game when the treasure is found? Then teleport the players back where they started?

Can you make it so in Spleef it clears the arena (all of the blocks) then restores it to its pre-game state? I want to do this so I can use leaves for the floor and have them decaying once one is broken. This works except I need to manually destroy and re place all of the leaves, and the arena is huge so there are about 16,000 leaves to break AND replace. If you can add this feature or know of another plugin with this functionality to aid yours that would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you can enable permissions on the loadouts.
I believe the command is:
/mg set <Minigame> loadout usepermissions -l <LoadoutName>
If not, try without the "-l".

Ah interesting, at least we know what causes it now. I'll have to see about fixing it. Any chance you could PM me the timings again?

Posted Jun 17, 2013After so much testing, I found 1 of the reasons why the join signs freeze up the server if too many try it at once.
If my sign is in World A, and the lobby is in World B, it has to teleport all of them to the 2nd world. That for some reason drops me from 20tps to 18tps and freezes everyone up.
This happens when 10+ join up a minigame sign at once, which happens a lot.
Now I moved the lobby and the sign right next to each other in World A, and the game itself in World B.
After doing that and checking timings/tps etc, it made a huge different in performance.
Still get minor hit from all clicking the sign, but not as bad.
I am curious how Survival Games has it so it doesn't effect performance, it's open source now if you want to take a look at it. :)

No. That will probably spam the server chat with a lot of messages and get annoying. Especially when lots of players are playing.
