Loot
Requirements:
- KBPL
- If the version in the title is higher than the one on the 'recent files' list, then you will have to wait until bukkit approves the latest version since KBPL could be updated and have code that does not work with previous versions of the plugin.
What it does:
The title pretty much says it all! But to be a bit more detailed, Loot makes it easy to create chests with randomly generated loot. The best part? No commands. Oh did I mention that it adds random enchantments to armor and weapons and can spawn random potions? Yeah, that too. Its the perfect loot generator for custom dungeons and worlds with randomly generated schematics.
Features:
- Automatic Chest Regeneration Refills chests automatically using a list of items that you configure.
- Enchantments You can configure whether loot chests will spawn items with random enchantments, or you can specify the enchantments yourself.
- Potion Effects Same as the enchantments, but with potions.
- Item naming Specify a name for the items spawned in a chest! You can also configure the plugin to let it add a random preffix/suffix to enchanted items, dependent of the enchantments applied.
- Lore Add lore to any item for that true rpg feel!
- Books You can set the title, author and text of books generated!
- Colors You can set the colors of the names/lore/whatever of each item.
- Randomness A lot of the properties of any item can be randomized, including the enchantments applied, name, amount, data value, chance for it to spawn at all, etc.
- Redstone Force a chest to reset by powering the sign!

- The way bukkit names effects is different than the default minecraft effects, so here are some tables of the names you should use on the config file:

- loot.sign.create - Lets you create Loot signs.
- loot.sign.break - Lets you break Loot signs.
- loot.command.name - Ability to use the command /loot name
- loot.command.reload - Ability to use the command /loot reload
- loot.list.x - Permission to open loot chests of x list

While I am updating and squashing bugs for free, working on new features requires time and everyone knows that time equals money.
I am however, open to suggestions that are directly related and crucial to the plugin.

Posted Jan 29, 2013your multiworld support is nice.. except for when it comes to detecting range from chests. when setting it to stop reset timer if a player is within 10 blocks i get the error

edit: to clarify last outpost is the only world that i have loaded in the loot config. It's not enabled for any other worlds, and the problem only occurs if people are on other worlds at the same time people are on last out post.

If the chest has a minimum of 1, it will make sure to spawn 1 item no matter how low the chance. So if it has a minimum of 1 and max of 1, it will spawn only 1 item. No more, no less.
For your second question, when the chest spawns items, it clears out any items already in it, to avoid filling up over time.

So if I set a super small percent chance (say 2%) for a helmet, chestpiece, leggings and boots, then set min-max items to 1 (or would it be 1-1?) it would eventually crank out a quasi random single one of those items? Or would it do a 2% check for those 4 items and if it failed all 4 checks just spawn an empty chest?
Also, will it respawn new items in the chest as per your time setting even if items were in the chest? For example if my chest spawned a diamond chestpiece at 6 am and had a 20 min timer on it, would it still have that same chestpiece in it an hour later? Or will it have respawned new items every 20 minutes? If the kids on my server leave an item in the chest once they open it, will new items respawn on the set timer?

Hmmm... Well that depends.
1.You can set the max amount of items to 1, which means the only thing the chest would spawn is 1 item.
2.If what you mean is if the chest could spawn more than just one item, then make sure it will never spawns the same type of item after it has spawned. If that's the case then that also depends. If you have a minimum amount on the sign to be more than 1, the plugin will keep searching for more items on the list to fill slots until it meets the minimum. When it meets the minimum then it stops searching as soon as it finishes iterating the list or reaches the max slots.
3.Lastly if what you mean is the possibility to spawn multiple items, but make sure than when selecting between a certain 'group' of items to only select one of them, then unfortunately that does not work.

Is it possible to set it to make sure only one type of item is spawned? For example:
1 Chestpiece with say a 50% chance its iron, 30% gold or 20% diamond. But only one would spawn rather than having those percentage chances PER item.
or
1 Piece or Diamond armor, of a random sort, but only one.

You need to place the sign 2 blocks below the chest. Its supposed to be hidden from players, but seeing that you're the second person to put it above ground, I might change it so that it can be 1 block next to the chest.

Download the latest version, I'm pretty sure it should work with 1.4.6 R3. Tell me if the problem still persists, and there's no error in the console.
