Loot
Requirements:
- KBPL
- If the version in the title is higher than the one on the 'recent files' list, then you will have to wait until bukkit approves the latest version since KBPL could be updated and have code that does not work with previous versions of the plugin.
What it does:
The title pretty much says it all! But to be a bit more detailed, Loot makes it easy to create chests with randomly generated loot. The best part? No commands. Oh did I mention that it adds random enchantments to armor and weapons and can spawn random potions? Yeah, that too. Its the perfect loot generator for custom dungeons and worlds with randomly generated schematics.
Features:
- Automatic Chest Regeneration Refills chests automatically using a list of items that you configure.
- Enchantments You can configure whether loot chests will spawn items with random enchantments, or you can specify the enchantments yourself.
- Potion Effects Same as the enchantments, but with potions.
- Item naming Specify a name for the items spawned in a chest! You can also configure the plugin to let it add a random preffix/suffix to enchanted items, dependent of the enchantments applied.
- Lore Add lore to any item for that true rpg feel!
- Books You can set the title, author and text of books generated!
- Colors You can set the colors of the names/lore/whatever of each item.
- Randomness A lot of the properties of any item can be randomized, including the enchantments applied, name, amount, data value, chance for it to spawn at all, etc.
- Redstone Force a chest to reset by powering the sign!
- Uses Soulbound You can download the soulbound plugin for added functionality! Visit the plugin page here.
How it works:
Important Notes:
- Requires KBPL
- The way bukkit names effects is different than the default minecraft effects, so here are some tables of the names you should use on the config file:
Enchantments
Potion Types
- You can find the color codes here.
Permissions:
- loot.sign.create - Lets you create Loot signs.
- loot.sign.break - Lets you break Loot signs.
- loot.command.name - Ability to use the command /loot name
- loot.command.reload - Ability to use the command /loot reload
- loot.list.x - Permission to open loot chests of x list
Requesting new features:
If this plugin is missing that certain special feature, bribe me and I will gladly work on it!
While I am updating and squashing bugs for free, working on new features requires time and everyone knows that time equals money.
I am however, open to suggestions that are directly related and crucial to the plugin.

Posted Feb 3, 2013I'm not quite understanding something.
'iron_sword:120,1-3,100,true'
You're naming the item, Iron Sword, if I'm not mistaken. With that being the case, what could 120 possibly stand for? If it's not the dec or hex code, then what is it?

Posted Feb 3, 2013Hey XxkmachoxX, I love your plugin! And I think you've done a great job :) But I would like to suggest a new feature, that I myself would love. (Although, I'm not sure if it's even possible... I would love your feedback on this!)
Anyway, I like the sign system you use to customize what's in each chest. But would there be anyway to give players a permission, (something like 'loot.sign.decoy') which disguises the sign as a different block. You could then have a new value on the sign, for example on the top line. Something like, [loot]:0 or [loot]:98 Telling the sign to disguise itself as the id on the top line, ie (0 - air or 98 - stonebrick) for players with the 'loot.sign.decoy' permission. I think this would be great because chests can then be placed wherever without having to worry about the positions of the signs.

It could be '265,1-3,76,false'
76 is the chance for the item to spawn
Remember that the fourth line of the sign can set a minimum-maximum amount of items. If its not set, it simply iterates through the list of items one time. But if you put say, 1 as a minimum on the sign, the chest WILL have at least one item in it. Basically just make sure you have a minimum of 0 on the fourth line of the sign or don't set it at all.

Posted Feb 3, 2013Exactly how would I make it able to not spawn all items every time. So I can have iron spawning sometimes but not always?

The minimum and maximum values in the configuration now use a dash, not a comma.
Example: - '264,1-3,76,false'

Posted Feb 2, 2013Hello. I have a problem! When ever I use the plugin it always shows all the items in the list. Here is my list: common:
detailed: false items: - '264,1,3,76,false' - '266,1,12,96,false' - '388,1,5,50,false'

I really wouldn't know. You should send the error report to the author though, that way he can be aware of it and may make it compatible :)

Yes, his mod is a work in progress for sure. I was simply trying to narrow down if the error is a bukkitforge related one or user/installation.
A lot of bukkit mods work fine on bukkitforge but alas he hasn't completely converted things. :)
BTW, this looks like an awesome mod. I can't wait to use it on my zombie apoc + WF3 map. There are no forge equivalents of this are there?

Went on a quick search to see what BukkitForge was. It appears to me like making the plugin compatible is up to him, since the mods functionality is to make bukkit plugins load as if it was craftbukkit.

Posted Jan 31, 2013i have the plugin working very well on my server with two exceptiona,
1: if i set it to iron_sword:230,1-1,1,true it errors out, i can't use the - at all, it makes me use , instead
2: the percent chance to spawn doesn't mean anything. extensive looting of 8 chests in the same town have shown that there is a completely equal chance to get everything, in fact if anything i get iron gear more often than leather. here's my loot table for the common chests
common:
detailed: false
items:
- iron_sword:230,1,1,1,true
- stone_sword:80,1,1,80,true
- leather_helmet:30,1,1,80,false
- leather_leggings:40,1,1,80,false
- leather_chestplate:45,1,1,80,false
- leather_boots:40,1,1,80,false
- iron_helmet:140,1,1,1,false
- iron_leggings:180,1,1,1,false
- iron_chestplate:200,1,1,1,false
- iron_boots:170,1,1,1,false
- 364,1,1,20,false
- 297,1,1,20,false
- 302:140,1,1,3,false
- 304:180,1,1,3,false
- 303:200,1,1,3,false
- 305:170,1,1,3,false
- bow:300,1,1,60,true

The ':' is only there when you're going to use data values. Otherwise, use a comma.
instead of using this: 'cookie:2-3,80,false'
use this: 'cookie,2-3,80,false'

Please post that again, but this time change the markup type to 'plain text' so it appears in its original format.
edit: I think I see the problem though, you seem to be putting the items id right next to the name. aka: 'cookie:357'.
The number next to the name is the items data value, not id, and it is only optional. If you want to know what a data value is, search it on the minecraft wiki
