Posted Jan 1, 2013I have a bit of an itch to do some of this Minecraft programming again. The first order of business is having a more suitable combat system (and allowing for PvP).
The change will be essentially be giving the classes strengths and weaknesses against each other. So it will end up like:
I would rather have their abilities give them the advantage instead of just their attacks. So what I have come up with so far is to give the warrior a "silence" skill to stop mages casting and for the ranger to have a "blind" skill to make warriors miss more often.
When it comes to the ranged class I can only think of giving the mages some ability to reduce the rangers accuracy to give the same effect as the "blind" skill, which feels kinda like cop out.
Everyone please tell me what you think either in a comment or on the poll!

No idea. But if it helps, the damage done is caused simply by an explosion. Perhaps there is a setting in protected regions to stop explosions?

Posted Aug 23, 2012Oh! So the regular level bar, is the Littlerpg level! Cool :D!
And I really do hope you'll be able to add in things like customizable classes and what not :)
Thanks again for making an awesome plugin!

Due to my current workload, unfortunately adding new things will be tricky, but I will still have a look at AncientRPG.
There is no need for a command to show your level because your level is always shown. I use the built in Minecraft level display, so it is that number between your health and hunger bar.

Posted Aug 20, 2012Awesome plugin dude. But I was using AncientRPG plugin before this one and I was wondering if you could add aspects that they had for example, creatable classes and spells. And a REALLY handy thing to have (that all the people in my server have been whining about :P) is a command to check your level. Sorry if there already is one but I couldn't find it :s

Once the player has chosen their class, they can not change it. Unless the files the plugin uses to store data when the server shuts down are edited.

Yes, already the plugin is very nicely made. Simple, and it works wonderfully. Just being able to control things like damage, spells (and cooldowns?), level rewards would give administrators some control.
And I'm glad you like my idea about the runes :)
EDIT: Is there anything happening with multi world support? I've tried editing the worlds file, but it simply resets. How can I add the nether and end to littlerpg worlds?

I did not realise that that file was not actually doing anything, I will change it so in the next version you do not see any of those unwanted warnings.
@ageofmyth
I certainly could make it more customisable like you suggested as I have intended to do that for since the beginning. But I just felt adding some of the other features where more necessary.
I really like your spell casting idea, it adds a whole new element to casting.

Posted Jul 11, 2012Hey, I was just wondering if you could add some more customization to the plugin. Like a config.yml file so we can edit things like Spell bonuses/ cooldowns, Melee bonuses, Ranged Bonuses, etc. Just so admins can have a little more control over how the plugin works.
Another interesting idea would be to add an optional feature that basically makes you lose an item when you cast a spell. So you actually use up the dye you used to cast said spell, or bone, or whatever. That way, you could make littleRPG more economic. And so that mages aren't so OP'd :) Once again you could make it a configurable feature, so if players don't like the idea of losing their spell-casting items, admins can change the config and it won't happen.
Just some suggestions that I thought would be fun!
