Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Feb 5, 2015First, I have been using you're plugin since the very beginning of it's release :D Second, is there a way to allow a player to active creative mode inside there claimed area only ? if not I would suggest that as an optional future feature :s
Great plugin by the way.

Posted Feb 4, 2015Hey,
Can anyone help me with "Claims.AutomaticNewPlayerClaimsRadius: 4" I try setting it to a 0 so it only protects the chest and doesn't add a claim around it but when I place a chest it leaves it unprotected and tells me to use a shovel and add a claim around it.
EDIT: Little more info, my MaximumNumberOfClaimsPerPlayer: is et to 0 which means unlimited. I've noticed if I do /abandonallclaims the first chest that I place down it stays locked and protected, however as soon as I place the next ones they automatically remain open and don't lock, it gives me the chat message that it's unprotected. I've tried changing the max number of claims to see if it had any effect but no luck. Either I'm doing something wrong here by not understanding the system or it bugged.
Thanks!

Posted Feb 4, 2015Huge issue with the implementation of name changes, upon changing your username, even if just changing the capitalization of a letter, you lose access to all your claims.
If possible, a patch for pretty much all versions of minecraft including 1.2.5 would be greatly appreciated for us server owners, as some of us run servers that use older modpacks such as Tekkit Classic.

Posted Feb 4, 2015Hey!
First off - Me and my players on my server LOVE this mod! Thank you for making it! It singlehandedly makes it possible for us to have balanced tnt-cannon sieges at an free-for-all level on my server! I made every material explodeable... Now people will HAVE to use tnt-cannons in order to blast down the walls and get in. It's really balanced, believe it or not!
There's just one little thing that I would like to change - and that is making it configuarable to turn fire prevention on or off! Inside a player claim that is. As of now, we can't burn down anything inside a claim! We really need that... I'm looking to burn down wooden structures inside player claims by shooting fire charges using the dispenser. It'd be perfect to have one more option to turn off flint and steel, as that would be OP.
A possibility to make explosions possible inside claims would be awesome too! As of now I had to add every material in the game to the exeptions list at the bottom of the config.
So in summary: My request is a couple of options to turn explosions and dispenser fires on/off !

For the egg throwing issue. Couldn't dispensers or dispensing of eggs and egg throwing outside of an claim be disable? Might not be the most appealing option, but it's an option.

Yeah, I think I'll be adding that back.
@ridddle
Yeah, I was disappointed about that outcome too. If you have ideas, I'm listening. First, I thought I'd just prevent chickens from spawning from eggs unless the thrower had permission. But turns out bukkit doesn't tell me who threw the egg and even if it did, life would get complicated due to dispensers, since some are fine (automated chicken farms built by people with permission), some are not (griefers pointing them in the claim from outside).
Anyway that aside, I thought I'd just stop chickens from trampling crops. But then I remembered endermen and spiders can be coaxed into fenced areas, and so can some animals (especially rabbits) when jump potions or fishing rods are involved. So I just threw up my hands and disabled crop damage due to trampling, since now it's becoming an exhaustive list approach (which will probably never be as complete as I'd like it to be).
Feedback is a little easier to manage here on bukkitdev, I think. :)
@cindy_k
Yikes. Hmm... I have to think on that. I was under the impression that UUIDs would not change, and I can't imagine how a player could own land claims with different UUIDs applied anyway. Sigh. I think everyone involved in plugin development wishes Mojang had just left names alone.

Posted Feb 4, 2015@bigscary :( I'm currently on 10.5.7, I will update to the latest on my next server restart. But with name changes I am getting reports that the players claims are being removed
except for their first claim.They changed it, their claims transferred except their last claim.Most of my players have multiple claims.
More info: A player with only one claim, their claim transferred ok.
Thank you!

Well shouldn't it be up to the server owner what's fair? I mean it's not that hard to fix right? Just, when checking if that feature is enabled, dont check if its a PvP world, just check a new part of the config. Your plugin man, but I think it should be seperate config.

Hold shift when you right click to do that on purpose. :) It only works for admins because it's a big deal for the CPU.
@OddWhirled
What about invincible attack dogs? And if a player uses a horse to find and attack other players, then in fairness his horse should be at risk. Don't you think?
@CloakedAlien
I think just the version number is wrong, should be fine. I will upload a new version soon anyway. :)

Posted Feb 2, 2015OK, pet protection needs to be a separate feature from PvP worlds. What if I want a PvP world where your pet is protected even outside your claim? GriefPrevention needs a per-world setting if pets should be protected everywhere or only protected by the owner of the claim they are standing in. This shouldn't be dependent on weather the world is a PvP world or not.
