Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Use a more updated version of the CB dev builds. I'm currently using 2110 with no problems. Here's the dev builds if you need them.

Posted Mar 24, 2012I love this plug-in and than you for building it (my server was such a hassle before I installed this). That being said, recently after upgrading, anytime we try to use the gold shovel, the user gets their connection lost and receives the following error message on their client application (no errors appear in the server console).
Internal exception: java.io.IOException: Received string length longer than maximum allowed (128 > 119)
Any ideas? I've upgraded to the most recent revision of grief prevention.
Thanks, cayeldo

Posted Mar 24, 2012Just had a thought! One of the things I have always had a problem with is having a spawn city with WorldGuard that gets very confused when someone tries to claim a grief prevention area within my WorldGuard region... However with the new public trust maybe this solved everything!... i.e is it possible that...
Would this mean that essentially that the Grief Prevention mod will allow you to build anywhere in the city (but not claim new areas, which stops my original issue) but that WorldGuard will still respect the permissions in it's own configuration.... ie.almost a dual check... Player places a block,GP say yes but WG says no so block not placed; Essentially a way of stopping players from using Grief Prevention individually in my city.
This is literally only an issue in the one or two cities I have on my RPG server. I love this mod for people to protect areas in the wilderness!
Can anyone see an issue with this... if not I will try and let everyone know!
Lee
p.s. Have not played with the siege command yet, but looking forward to trying it soon!

you should ask questions better not some half assed "Texture pack?"
if i am correct, you meant "What is the texture pack, used in the above video's?"
also better to ask in a Private Message, the comments pages are cleaned of unrelated garbage a lot

Posted Mar 23, 2012The Duplication problem isn't unique on the Mcmmo.. We aren't running MCMMO on our server, but seem to have the exact same problem. With people mining protected blocks and getting a block drop without the block breaking. Thus making really easy to farm Diamond, or any other material. If you can manage to make a block and have someone else secure it.
