Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

No sweat captain, Its just nice to see its not been abaonened, There is no alternative to GriefPrevention so we were just planning ahead for our servers future!
Do you have a public to-do/bug fix list? Is there any non-programming way I can help GP?

Thanks

Use your permissions plugin to set the node -griefprevention.commands.siege for all groups/users for which you wish to disable the command.

Posted Jun 20, 2014On my server, we have been running this since around March. Been running fine, and we have updated to 1.7.9. - Just recently, people started losing the plots quite randomly. Even when they are offline - so naturally people are raiding like crazy.
I have no idea why it happens. When the owner comes back on, he can't just reclaim either. When he tries to claim, he gets a message saying the area is already claimed. so he has to /abandonclaim first and then reclaim.
Anyone ever experience anything like this?
I am receiving no errors in console.

We're working on it, please be patient. We both have lives outside of free bukkit plugins.

Posted Jun 18, 2014We've been using Grief Prevention heavily for a while now. I must say we love it, using it on a server where players are between 8 and 40. Although the development builds tends to give is a bit of grief sometimes =P
I can live with that though! I just donated some money. You deserve it!

Posted Jun 18, 2014FYI - plugin.yml has an inconsistency in it for version 7.8-beta-b282
In the permission listing, it shows "griefprevention.placement.water" and "griefprevention.placement.lava" twice. Lava is both defaulted to "op" but water is set to "op" on one and "true" on another.
The following permission nodes listed on the 7.8 dev documentation is not listed in the plugin.yml file:
- griefprevention.claimblocks.buy - griefprevention.claimblocks.sellHowever, it seems like this might be a mistake since the "commands.buyclaimblocks" and "commands.sellclaimblocks" seem like they are the ones that belong.
Also, please note what the default value for each permission node that is on the 7.8 dev documentation (OP, true, false) or make sure each node is listed in plugin.yml and we can find out for ourselves.
Thanks,
LHammonds

Posted Jun 15, 2014So, let's say I protect a village with admin claim. I am pretty sure villagers are protected from players, but can other players trade with villagers? Similarly, if I have cows protected, can players get milk - and with sheep, wool? Thanks...
