Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Jun 9, 2014I need help, please.
Where can I get Dev Build 293?? (sorry, I'm not that Techy and don't usually mess with dev builds). I have a small server but lots of cool builds and really need to find something fast to prevent grief!!!
Anyone know if this plugin is dead or if anyone's taking over this plugin?
Thanks!

Posted Jun 9, 2014Updating to latest dev build throws a bunch of errors (one for each claim). It's related to these: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/grief-prevention/tickets/668-mysql-error/ http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/grief-prevention/tickets/663-database-errors-with-gp-mysql-database-is-setup-correctly/
"New - Issue has not had initial review yet." "Reported Apr 26, 2014"
Thanks to gnaxi I found that dev build 293 seems to work fine.

Posted Jun 9, 2014Where can I find the source of 7.7? I want to update it to 1.7.9 myself. The 7.8 is such bloat and unpractical.

Posted Jun 9, 2014I've had a bunch of errors in my console, every time I've been restarting it.
I decided to test previous builds, to see if I could find one that didn't generate this error.
Found that build 293 seems to run stable and the error comes with 294 & 295.

Posted Jun 7, 2014I just wanted to update everyone, I removed "GriefPrevention-295" And rolled back to my previous version and it did have multi world support! :D I don't know what version of this plugin I'm running but It's working great on 1.7.9 Beta Craftbukkit so if anyone wants this copy of Grief Prevention let me know, it solved all my MySQL issues! And it's the only Stable Version I'm aware of that works with 1.7.9 :)

Posted Jun 7, 2014Hey you wonderful developers! :)
I been using this plugin for awhile now since before the Beta build of 1.7.9 and it was working great.. I since then made a bunch of changes to my server and updated to the 7.8+ and everything was working great I was loving the new changes with multiple world support everything in MySQL is set up perfectly and it connects with no problems... but after the first reboot I get this...
http://pastebin.com/cdJs52AE
I just read the comments and it's a shame that this plugin might be abandoned considering my server is built around it... but is there any build you guys could link me to or recommend to roll back to that might be a little more stable than the current one I'm using on 1.7.9? Like I said I never had this problem till now, and my players keep losing their claims :( I don't know what to do.

Posted Jun 7, 2014If BC doesn't have the time for GriefPrevention, thats a real shame.. But if so he should do what BigScary did and and hand off development to someone who does. I wouldn't know who though, this s a monster of a plugin and it demands attention.

Posted Jun 7, 2014Doesn't look to me like there's anything to stop griefers from surrounding a particular public area with claims so that nobody else can get in or out, making a house look like part of a neighbour's house, or building a wall up against a neighbour's window and thus blocking the sunlight. Why not add the option to put a blanket admin claim on all the blocks that are within X horizontal blocks of a private claim? And to allow for mineshafts etc. leading out of a basement, how about also an admin claim below each private claim, with the claim owner having build permission?

Posted Jun 7, 2014It'd be nice to have different claim features apply to different minimum heights -- that way in Survival, players could mine under their claims and eventually build basements, but still have to deal with monsters and lava as normal.

It does indeed. The last pull on the source was mine... two months ago. I know BC had mentioned a new job, he may just not have the time anymore. Either that or he's just not pushing changes to Github. In any case, it's showing telltale signs of being abandoned and at the current rate, this is probably not going to be ready for the UUID change over, which is a shame.

It does seem that way. I guess I'm going to have to look into converting existing claims to WorldGuard or something. It's a shame, this was one of my favorite plugins.

What build are you running? I personally never had this problem, but maybe it wont register value other than 15 (default value)
You could also try taking a look at the messages.yml, maybe the "outside of claim" message is somehow malformed.

Posted Jun 3, 2014After reading the explanations and so, it is still not clear to me, whether or not to apply GriefPrevention.Claims.WildernessWarningBlockCount to make the message show to the group. I have a problem getting this message to show atall, but it is set to true and 5 blocks in config.

Posted Jun 2, 2014Please respond if you know the answer! I have a survival server running GriefPrevention. I want to allow people to build and destroy even when not in there (eg. going mining, wood chopping etc.) but they cant because it just says the area needs to be claimed before blocks can be destroyed. How do i disable this feature! Thanks.

Posted Jun 1, 2014have a bukit server and players have infinite regen. Whenever they start a pvp fight they regain health immediately, and lava, poison potions and instant damage potions regenerate the players health, can you give me a tip to get rid of this problem please.
