Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted May 31, 2014Hey,
first of all I want to say that this anti-grief plugin is awsome!
I've ran into 1 problem, everytime a player joins (in any world survival or creative) he can't place blocks before he claims some, even if they already claimed some and just relogged. I don't want them to ever get the message in any world, even not in the beginning but I don't know how I turn it off.
I tried deleting all worlds in the creativeworldrules section but they keep comming back.
Thanks

Posted May 31, 2014The permission griefprevention.ignoreclaims is broken in the latest Dev Build. and @rsod this plugin is not dead, if you manage to look into the dev versions you can see the plugin is already supporting UUIDS.

Posted May 30, 2014Is there a way to disable or reduce the frequency of the warning messages when a player builds outside of a claim? If there is a permission you could add to users to do so that would be even better.

Posted May 29, 2014Is it not possible to use GriefPrevention with MySQL through a Bungeecord setup?
Every time I switch between servers and try to use claim blocks, the accrued blocks and bonus blocks are being overwritten in the database, rather than being synced.
Haven't been able to find a solution so far.
Thank you in advance!

Posted May 29, 2014For some reason, I'm getting an error msg on screen when trying to access /ignoreclaims and /adminclaims telling me I don't have access to the commands & I need to contact an administrator. I own the server and have the permission griefprevention.admin.* and I've used GP for almost a year with no issues.
I recently updated several plugins (haven't been on Minecraft for awhile) and I check my perm file and still have the correct permission. I'm using GP-b214.
What do I need to set the debug level at so I can see what's going on? I can't do /gpdebug in-game either.
Thanks for any advice.

Posted May 29, 2014I am setting up my first server and this plugin looks to be perfect for my needs, I do however have one question I need answering:
I will be allocating donators 1k bonus blocks and repeat donators a total of 5k of bonus blocks, I have sorted how this works but my question is, once demoted the allocation appears to go negative however the claimed area remains this would mean you could donate once get and use the blocks and not donate again but still have the additional area, is there a way to resolve this?

I've been looking at 'Ncuboid' as an alternative because I just can't get everything to work with this (adminclaims permission/command does not work).

Posted May 28, 2014Is there an additional permission/setting/etc. needed to use the adminclaims command? I have set the permission (griefprevention.adminclaims) for my player to true but I am getting a 'you dont have permissions' message when I attempt to use it in game. I don't want to make my player an OP - I'd rather have the plug in work when the correct permission is set.

Posted May 27, 2014How do I disable the "SmartBan" in GriefPrevention 7.8? It is banning every single new player that logs in to my server, likely because I am using Spigot/BungeeCord (thus, all incoming IPs appear as 127.0.0.1 to the server). I have verified that all of these players were *not* using the same IP; I checked the Bungee console for that. It's getting rather frustrating, because my ban list grew from 15 players to 380 in a matter of a day.
I believe there was an option to disable this in prior versions of GriefPrevention, but I cannot seem to find the option in the configuration in this updated version (side note: I would love to see a simpler version of the config in future updates, as it is quite hard to find anything). Thanks for any help that anyone can give regarding this issue.
There is no error log associated with the issue (nor do I really expect one in this situation).

Posted May 27, 2014When I was on a server I had been killed by a Fire Charge. Someone had lit one beneath me, as for some reason it bypasses the griefprevention.lava permission. It also may or may not light fire in someone else's claim, because someone light a fire charge in my base. It also works to dispense things through claims that can kill players. Please fix this.

Posted May 27, 2014Thanks guys - interesting. @dutcholdskool - my setting is absolutely "false" however...i removed NCP entirely and it started working - so it's definitely an issue with NCP - going to dig around with their support and see if i can find anything. FYI - GP rocks! Love this plugin. Needed NCP though to help prevent flying and other misc. stuff. Thanks. I'll post back here if I figure out what the issue is with NCP.
