Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Well, technically "deprecated" just means they strongly advise against using it, but it's still there. So if LWC still has it then they are using deprecated code despite the warnings. Deprecation usually is like a "grace period" so you don't have remove it now, but it may go obsolete in the next version, so the LWC authors may have just not removed it yet. I personally would never add a new function based on deprecated code, but if I used it before it became deprecated I might not immediately get rid of it.
However in this case it feels like they will probably fix it someday, it just has problems now. I say this because usually deprecated API classes are the result of redundancy and they will refer to other parts of the API to use instead, but in the Door class it simply says "No longer functions. Do not use."
If they do ever fix it, it seems like a good feature for gpflags. It's probably not something within the scope of GriefPrevention itself though, as defined in the To-Don't list above.

Ah, really? That's a shame. I know LWC still has it but if that feature's incredibly unstable then perhaps that's even more of a reason to switch from it.

Sorry to say that right now it looks like Bukkit depreciated the Door class in the API. It was apparently incredibly unstable. I don't think it's possible for any plugin to have this capability on current versions.

I can't monitor every claim and make it an admin claim. The plugin itself should recognize that there is faction territory and not make a claim or protect the chest in that territory.
I'm considering removing it at this point as it is CONSTANTLY muting players "spam" that is NOT spam in anyway shape or form.

Don't use griefprevention.
@xDizasterCYx
Are you using the latest version of Craftbukkit? What other plugins do you have installed?
@keytastic
I'll have to check the config file.

Posted Apr 30, 2013Why doesn't this respect Factions?
I have people who are in a faction, but when they place a chest it's making a claim inside the faction territory and preventing other faction members from doing anything within that claim area, which is stopp people from accessing their chests, crafting tables etc.
How do I stop it from making a claim inside any faction territory?

Posted Apr 29, 2013Hello. I have a couple players that apparently want to build outside of protected claims and don't want to the see the messages repeatedly and the corner blocks showing up.
I know there is a global toggle in the config.yml. I want to know if there is a permission that I can give to block only people that want it.
Does such a permission exist? I've looked, but can't find one. I'm hoping I'm missing something.
Thanks!

Works perfectly under the normal Worlds section in the config.
However, it appears that if the same world is set under the CreativeRulesWorlds section of the config the water and lava flows outside the claimed areas, even with the option set.
Is this by design?
Thanks in Advance.

@out2k
Sorry about the no-reply. Please send me a PM with your issue and I will take a look at it. I've been extremely busy these past couple of weeks and I really haven't had any time to answer any posts.
Sorry about being away, I just had a lot of real life stuff happen and the comments here just scroll too fast sometimes.
