Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Mar 19, 2013I'm receiving consistent lag from BlockFromToEvent, is there something that would cause this? It's causing 97% of all the lag from GriefPrevention (It's not a pause/temporary freeze, it is consistently there. It isn't dragging my TPS down with 11 players online... But I suspect it will with more!)
Config: http://privatepaste.com/af0df63e9d
2,370 claims are loaded across 2 seperate worlds. It's a regular survival server.. Spigot b1.5, GriefPrevention 7.1.3
EDIT: Seems I am a few versions behind! I will update and see what happens.

Posted Mar 19, 2013Hello, love the plugin, but is there/could there be a permission node that allows players to build outside of their claims in survival? Instead of using /ignoreclaims, since this gives them permission to build in other peoples' claims. Also, I cannot use the NoSurvivalBuildingOutsideClaims: false since I don't want everyone to build outside their claims.
Thanks for your time.

I am not talking max claims blocks. I am talking total claims. We want to limit the total amount of claims per person, yet they can make the claim as large as their block count allows them.
Does this make sense?

It's not removed or redundant. Here's how it works: You have admins and your server owners that you want to see your moderator's chat, etc. but you don't want your moderators seeing your admin pms yet you still want them to monitor player chat. You give the moderators griefprevention.eavesdrop so they can listen to the players, but they can't listen to themselves or server admins. You then give your admins and owners the griefprevention.admineavesdrop so they can listen to everyone, including those with the griefprevention.eavesdrop permission.
@devexityspace2GM
/accesstrust or /containertrust might solve your issue. I'll take a look at the code and see what's going on with that.
@sirmyllox
GriefPrevention keeps all claims in memory, so there really isn't that much of a performance boost either way.
@ljprevo
You can limit the max number of claim blocks a player has. Wouldn't the "max number of claims" be redundant?

Posted Mar 19, 2013I have a Minecart transportation route in my world, with ChestShops at various areas where people can purchase Minecarts. However, when they place the Minecart on the track and travel to their destination, they are unable to take the Minecart with them (can't break it off the track)
Is there anyway to fix this?

actually you would need 100 claim blocks to protect a 10x10 area. A 50x50 area would need 2500 claim blocks.

Thanks, So 50 claimblocks will effectivly protect a 50x50 zone that's from bedrock to skybox. anyway to change the default height limit?

Posted Mar 18, 2013I have seen this plugin in the list several times and have though, "I'm sure LogBlock will get the job done". Today, I decided to look into this plugin. I was amazed. You did a really excellent job on this plugin and I just wanted to share my gratitude for creating this.
Thank You.

Claim blocks are 2D so it only goes by the 10x10, no height or depth are figured in. Also the initial height of the claim is to skylimit by default.

Posted Mar 18, 2013Hi, can someone explain how "Claim Blocks" are used? How tall are initial claims?
say I create a claim that is 10x10 and initial depth is set to 5 in the config.
would this charge me 50 claim blocks? would this charge of 50 blocks extend up to the skybox? as I dig down and it extends my claim, does this use more claim blocks?

Posted Mar 18, 2013Hey all just have a question about grief prevention. It says it supports tekkit but the latest build doesn't work at all on a 3.1.3 tekkit server also the old version for 1.2.5 minecraft doesn't work for adding new protected containers any ideas anyone? What versions should I use? Here is my config for the old version which is not working for protected tekkit containers. Comment below if you know what version of grief prevention I should be using.
