First, what is this plugin about?
Grand Theft Diamond is a Minecraft plugin based on GTA.
The most ideas of this plugin are taken from 'GTA San Andreas Multiplayer'. You can rob safes and drive cars (Horses). There are custom guns and other items like Handcuffs, a flame thrower or a taser. You can select one of the two teams: Cop and Civilian. Civilians can become a gangster when they do criminal things like robbing a safe. But that's not all: Players also can buy houses and it's planned to create jails, so cops can jail the gansters.
But how do all these features work? We have a wiki where you can read all about the plugin!

What you need to know
- If you have any problems or questions, just join the official IRC channel '#grandtheftdiamond' here.
- This plugin sends information about the server and how much players are playing the plugin to mcstats.org. You can disable this in the config of MCStats! (plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml)
- Learn more about MCStats at MCStats.org/learn-more!
- This plugin inclues an update check, which tells you if there is a newer version of the plugin to donload.
- Disable this in the config 'useUpdater: false'.
- Use '/gtd update' to download the newest version.
- This plugin connects to dev.bukkit.org to download the change log's RSS feed.
- You can disable the connection to dev.bukkit.org in the config.yml with 'useChangeLogFunction: false'.
Like you know, the GrandTheftDiamond plugin team don't get payed for them work. We do this things because we like it. Please try to help us to keep motivating us to keep growing the plugin!

I planned to use zombies as cops, which spawn in the arena and/or riding horses/cars.
The chat does not work. I'm working on a fix, but I hink this will take some more time, sorry.

The house idea is exactly like we planned it. You will be able to create a house (Spawn inside/spawn outside) and users can buy it by clicking a sign. We planned also that players can buy a house as gang (Gangs are alredy added). I planned to use the ShopKeepers plugin for shops, but im not sure how to implement the NPC shops. You alredy lose money after death. You can configure it in te file eventConfig.yml. Maybe I will add a level/skill system. But this is still far away...

Posted Mar 8, 2014Maybe make this plugins compatible with Citizens so we can make shop owners who sell snacks for regeneration, gun shop owners who sell ammo, weapons and body armour, black market dealers where we are able to sell drugs or other illegal minecraft things at high prices and also buy things at high prices.
Citizens could be used anyway as if you define gtd to a world and purchase items through traders in the same world, the items would still work normally. This could save you guys a lot of hassle.

Posted Mar 8, 2014I was looking through your to do list and saw you would be adding houses, so why not make admins be able to create purchasable apartments by doing commands such as /gtd apartment create (name of house) (price) Then a text could appear to select corners of the apartment and then you could define a price and finally place a sign down near the building or on the door of the apartment which allows you to purchase on click(if that parts not possible, you could make a command /gtd buy apartment (name) and we could use the plugin ServerSigns and bind the command to the sign instead). Plus, we could just use world guard to make it no pvp zone. On purchase, the player could be given an option to make the apartment a private house or shared gang house. Also, speaking of gangs, the gang system could be a Factions or guild type with bios, member ranks, street rep (improves when a member kills another player or finds drugs and when members have purchased apartments,(drugs could be speed (sugar) weed (saplings), etc... Or the plugin could be compatible with another drug plugin) Also, maybe the option to lose a configurable amount of money on death and like Factions, street/gang rep could decrease as members die, get killed also, linking to the mcMMO idea, players could have their own street rep and when it reaches a certain level maybe like 25 and have enough money to purchase things, they could buy weapons, body armour, ammo and apartments.

The idea of random chest items had been thought and will be added!
But i love the mcMMO idea, cause its on GTA V, and i forgot it! So nice idea! It will be added! So you can have skills like resistance, hungry, shoot (aim), strenght!
If you have more ideas tell them! And if you know bugs report them too!

Posted Mar 5, 2014Sorry for tossing loads of requests at you, but could a mcMMO like skill feature be added, for example, shooting and aim skill could increase when you shoot another player, stealth could improve when shifting and killing. This could lead to GTD skill levels with you unlocking weapons, body armour (chest plates), etc...

Posted Mar 5, 2014Also , maybe after everything has been sorted, there could be andom chest drop with weapons, ammo, extra body armour, leather, gold or iron chest plates, etc... These chest drop would occur in the defined map area and could also give money as an extra reward

Set this options to use Vault economy and not the economy system of thiss plugin:
Delete your messages.yml and let the plugin recreate it. There are new messages since Beta_1.7.x. which are better, if you only use the Vault economy system.
Your idea is a good idea! Maybe I will add it :) I think, It's not as hard as you think :p

Posted Mar 4, 2014Does this plugin create its own economy system or could we use an existing economy, already on our server which is used across the server instead of the GTD one.
Also, just like GTA Online, when people are free-roaming, could people spawn in or somehow get a compass or another item which makes it so they can go in passive mode for a couple of minutes but are denied access to guns, this would probably be really difficult, but if you just managed to implement the passive mode system, that would be awesome!
