Give Anything Listener
Introduction
| This is a plugin that works with Votifier 1.8 or higher, and as such should be placed inside the plugins folder NOT the listeners one. | |
| This plugin listens to voting events passed from Votifier and allows you to reward players with anything when they vote for your server. | |
| If you can type it as a command you can use it to in this plugin! | |
| The Plugin works like a lot of the other listeners, but gives the user a detailed Configuration, on how to setup the broadcast message, and the colour / control codes they can use, Like {BOLD} etc... | |
| This Plugin REQUIRES Votifier 1.8 or above! | |
| When installing you must place the GAListener.jar into your /plugins folder. | |
| It will then create a config.yml inside of the folder which you can edit to your liking! |

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
You can disable the stat collection via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish.

Posted Apr 29, 2014Not that this has anything to do with your plugin but why does Planet Minecraft resolve my domain name to an IP address and use that and then throw errors at me when the IP address changes? My domain name is static, my IP address is not. PMC, if I type a domain name as my address, leave it alone!

You have the worst server ever, I joined and was killed by your demi mods. What a great way to welcome new players to a server.

I seem to of had a brain fart the other day because it looks like it is working at the moment.
I run VoteSend on my hub server so instead of using my votes and not being able to test i sent fake votes to all my servers using VoteSend.
I tried this multiple times using SQlite logging in and out of the server and the votes registerd each time i logged in.
I then tried it with MySQL just to verify both databases and i had the same results votes continued to register so i'm not sure if in my original testing i skipped over something but it does seem to work.
This is using Spigot 1.7.9 and 1.2.1 GAL

interesting - we're about to make the update to 1.7.9 - but we dont have to rely on UUID's until 1.8 releases. so we arent "fully" using UUID.

1.2.1 workd fine if you are running the correct version of MC. I am running 1.7.9 and 1.2.1 is for 1.7.4.
1.7.5 is when they started to add the UUID's and i think that's part of the reason things are messing up for me now.
If you run 1.7.9 MC GAL still works but you would need to remove the start up message about how many times someone has voted, and the cumulative rewards might not work either since its not reading the total # of votes correctly.
I was doing it with a MySQL database as well ill give it some more testing with both database types and see if i cant get an accurate answer for you sometime soon.

Hmm, this is odd then... I was wanting to remove VotifierScripts so I can save the votes via GAListener ... I may just stay on 0.9 for now as it seems less complicated.

I was using 1.2.1 with no issues however i am running a bungee and spigot configuration and they are running MC 1.7.9 and the votes are not being saved so each time you connect it doesn't show the correct amount of votes.

Posted Apr 20, 2014Ya for some reason this plugin isn't working for me. Console gives me this when I vote:
20.04 18:32:54 [Server] INFO Vote received on PlanetMinecraft.com for Player: CraftPlayer{name=jjor03}
But when anybody votes, you get nothing.
