Give Anything Listener
Introduction
| This is a plugin that works with Votifier 1.8 or higher, and as such should be placed inside the plugins folder NOT the listeners one. | |
| This plugin listens to voting events passed from Votifier and allows you to reward players with anything when they vote for your server. | |
| If you can type it as a command you can use it to in this plugin! | |
| The Plugin works like a lot of the other listeners, but gives the user a detailed Configuration, on how to setup the broadcast message, and the colour / control codes they can use, Like {BOLD} etc... | |
| This Plugin REQUIRES Votifier 1.8 or above! | |
| When installing you must place the GAListener.jar into your /plugins folder. | |
| It will then create a config.yml inside of the folder which you can edit to your liking! |

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
You can disable the stat collection via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish.

Not sure if there was a change because it doesn't look like it, But i just came from version 0.9 to 1.1 and the service specific votes only get counted as default now and not their special ones.

Posted Mar 29, 2014Hi. My lucky votes broke approx. 2 weeks ago when I installed the new version. Broadcasts + commands work fine. People always got lucky since there's a 1/5 and 1/10 chance to get lucky, but now they don't. I don't believe there's any console errors.

I have those settings so it broadcasts the vote even if the player is offline but not spam the server when they log on. With those settings above it doesn't broadcast the vote and it doesnt spam the server when they log on. I have to have both broadcastrecent and broadcastoffline for the broadcastoffline to work but then it double announces it. Once when they actually vote, offline or not, and when they log onto the server. Rather annoying.

Posted Mar 26, 2014Hey swifteh, I've setup lucky vote rewards correct (I think), Last update they worked fine (0.9) But after 1.0 I've followed the new config and done everything right and players still aren't receiving lucky votes. Posted Mar 25, 2014Hey I downloaded your plugin and it works great, however I believe the /rewards should bring up the rewards of lucky voting and such and also every time I do /vote and the vote message pops up it also brings up how many votes I have and I was wondering how do I get rid of that?

Yes it is, add the command "/gal total {username} 0" to the end of your cumulative command list.

I had an old version of this, that I removed for the new one with votetop and such, (1.7.4)
And now when my players vote the vote registers on votetop and all that BUT.
It dosnt give them the voting reward & the broadcast! Here is my config..

Posted Mar 21, 2014I'm having issues with players receiving their vote rewards, it's not even saying that they voted. I'm using both the latest version of Votifier & GAListener, but nothing works. Hey Swift, I was wondering, when you have the time, if you could look into adding another feature. It would be nice to have a (for example) /voteclaim command. The way it would work, is that this would be a limited command for players. When they vote, it adds one use for that command, and obviously, when they use it, it removes one use of the command. That way, you could allow them to vote, and then choose where to claim it. For Example, on my server, I have multiple inventories, so it would be awesome to be able to set a permission reward for the Hub, that would let them use this command, so that if they are in the hub when they vote, they can still get the rewards in factions. Hopefully you can sort of understand what I am saying. Thanks :)
