Give Anything Listener
Introduction
| This is a plugin that works with Votifier 1.8 or higher, and as such should be placed inside the plugins folder NOT the listeners one. | |
| This plugin listens to voting events passed from Votifier and allows you to reward players with anything when they vote for your server. | |
| If you can type it as a command you can use it to in this plugin! | |
| The Plugin works like a lot of the other listeners, but gives the user a detailed Configuration, on how to setup the broadcast message, and the colour / control codes they can use, Like {BOLD} etc... | |
| This Plugin REQUIRES Votifier 1.8 or above! | |
| When installing you must place the GAListener.jar into your /plugins folder. | |
| It will then create a config.yml inside of the folder which you can edit to your liking! |

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
You can disable the stat collection via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish.

Posted Mar 17, 2014Hey! Love the update :)
Could you possibly make the /votetop names with capital letters and such? They don't look great ATM :P
Also.. is there a way you can make the /vote command.. perform a command? xD, See, I made a custom voting GUI, but I still want it to show the # of votes, and with the custom command plugin I made it with, I can't do that. If not it's okay :)
Last thing, could you add a /votes command that shows your vote count (In the future, if you wanted to make it more advanced, you could make it log the # of votes per month for like the last year or the players lifetime? But for now, just the vote count is good :P)

You can add an additional command when they have reached the maximum which would reset their own total i.e. "/gal total {username} 0".

Posted Mar 17, 2014Quick question on cumulative votes:
Do they reset after the value that you have put, or is it only a 1 time thing? What I mean is, say I wanna give a diamond every 2 votes. Would I be fine just putting '2' in or will I have to create more values for every 2 votes like '2', '4', '6', '8', '10', etc?
From what I can tell it seems like i'd have to create a new value for every 2 votes, but I was just making sure.

Posted Mar 16, 2014The new update is great! I have a few suggestions/fixes though. I have my own /rewards plugin and when having the rewardcommand: disabled it says "Show a list of the cumulative rewards" and my plugin message does not show up. If you could have a config option named "Cumulative Rewards" message that would support color that would be great. Unless I am missing something here, I do not believe that was the desired output message and my plugin should override it. I may be wrong though.
Another suggestion would be to allow us to customize the /vote command message where it says "You currently have (blank) votes". It would be great if we could format that and change the color!
I appreciate this update and am looking forward to future ones!

Posted Mar 16, 2014How would I go about making it so that is automatically broadcasts the message even if the players isn't online, but it doesn't give the rewards until they are online. It is just annoying when people don't log onto a certain server for a while and it spams the chat with their 20 queued vote broadcasts.
EDIT: I understand you can disable the on join feature but I want the broadcasts to show on all my servers when a person votes. Not just when they are online. Also, I need the rewards to be online because of the server doing the /give command.

Posted Mar 16, 2014Thank you for fixing the offline votes not working so quickly.
Will there be some command available to force the queue to be processed through as if the contained votes were freshly arriving instead of just clearing the db to clear queue? While the bugged version was online, some votes got queued. If I have to, I can fiddle things around to manually process what should have happened and get the proper rewards distributed. Just would save a bit of energy and time if I can simply run a command. Especially as I have additional servers to update GAL on and a "processqueue" or "forcequeue" command would be helpful if there's any further hiccups. :)

It requires a complete config update yes.
Best to remove your current config completely and start again.

Getting exactly the same problem. /fakevote works all messages work correctly its just when someone actually votes NOTHING happens at all. would be a good plugin, if it actually did what it is meant to do. Hope a fix comes out soon,,

Posted Mar 9, 2014just installed yesterday with votifier 1.9 and for some reason GAlistener does not register any votes made. I had simplevotelistener but was outdated. that did register votes however I do not really like the setup SVL has. Any ideas? I love the setup this plugin has. It has NO errors in console and seems to be working until the first voted did not register. I have 8 sites to vote on. Not a one registered.
The description says: This plugin listens to voting events passed from Votifier and allows you to reward players with anything when they vote for your server.
It is not doing so when a default player votes for my server.
Also, in the listeners folder I still have the FlatfileVoteListener.class and votes.log in the votifire folder... Is this maybe keeping youe plugin from registering votes maybe?
From the looks of it reading other players comments, they are having the same problems.
