FramePicture

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

What is FramePicture?

Frame Picture is a plugin that can draw images in a itemframe.

-> How to install

1. Download the newest FramePicture.jar
2. Download the newest ProtocolLib from http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/protocollib/
3. Stop your Server
4. Drop the FramePicture.jar into your plugins folder.
5. Drop the ProtocolLib.jar into your plugins folder.
6. Start your Server
7. See the Tutorial

1. Install the Plugin and ProtocolLib.
2. Join to your Server.
3. Place a item frame
4. Search a photo in the internet
5. Type "/fp set URL" in the chat
6. Interact a item frame
7. Finish!

-> Supported file formats

FramePicture supports the file formats .gif (no animations), .png and .jpg.

-> Multilanguage

This plugin supports multilanguage.

just saying, this plugin is incompatible with frameprotect maybe you can see about making it compatible

@Howaner Ye ran into another similar problem.

As I demoted myself from op and put me into our member group which had no permissions in the area I was standing, after spamming the frame for a short time, it told me the fram was removed and then straight after in red, you have no permissions in this area. Note that we have breaking on itemframes turned of in worldguard as well. This time around it came out with this error, and then server crash.

Basically what I think it is doing, is checking for permission AFTER actually removing it.. The frame and picture seems to be there for the player still, but after server crash and you log back in, its a blank big frame.

However this time around I don't have a map in my inventory as I restart my server. and the frames has actually been removed.

Great plugin idea! However the protection needs to work properly before we can use it.. Obviously we can have players hitting it and removing it AND crashing the server doing so.

Hey I ran into an issue while running spigot-1225

As I broke the frame the map popped of, and now it throws that error and kicks you every time you log in until you can clear your inventory of the map.

My console is set by my host not to list to many lines a second.. been telling them to remove line limit but they wont.. so the error is missing 10 rows.. sorry bout that error: http://pastie.org/8603289

Thanks for this plugins. I saw that for your 1.6.2 version we can just put one picture, not more. Other frame say "Already a frame in" etc.

It's ok, one work, not more,it's just a little sad :D..

Heyho...

More Performance, Images can load from plugins/FramePicture/images!
My folder is Empty.... Would be nice, if the pics wopuld be saved on the Server/Folder.

Some exact Config-explanation would also be great.

I love this plugin ;-)

Update to 1.7!!

New:
- Better Size Change
- The little Images was set to the middle of the Item Frame (New Option in Config)
- Fix Frame Break
- Fix Create Bug

I can't confirm this, I have tested a purely black image and one with black spaces and they work perfectly with my plugin.

i believe this is NOT A DEV BUKKIT 1.7 BUG
vanilla 1.7.2 minecraft has 'issues' when picture frames become tranparent at the front when the map cant be read properly

Why does black become transparant? Is this a framepicturebug, bukkit bug or just other plugins interfering? I have these plugins installed: Dynmap,EntityWatch,Framepicture(ofcourse :)), ModifyWorld, PermissionsEx, Worldedit

EDIT: This seems to be an issue with later versions of 1.7.2 DEV version, First Version for 1.7.2 has no problems with this, although on this version, most colors seem to be different than on later versions

EDIT2: I've found another problem too, when breaking the block behind a frame with a picture in it, the image on the map disappears (The link and image number are removed in frames.yml too)

Same thing happened to me. Just completely delete the plugin and all the folders associated with it and then reinstall it.

Worked for me.

Im successfully able to run it on a Heavily modded forge/bukkit server too only kicker is have to set fast render to false or the pics vanish after a restart of the server. Can place images in the images folder and all players are able to see them. Check it out if you like. Again its a heavly modded server so youll need forge mod loader installed as well as the mods which we have all available in a single download here. Likewise a how to video iv needed. http://hypedphoto.com/primecraft/index.php/getmods Server ip address is 67.77.90.100:20001 BTW: version 1.6.4

I have the same issue, but the fact that I am even able to post a picture on my server that is hosted somewhere is great.

Unfortunately it seems to be broken in spigot 1.7. No error messages, but the frame stays blank. I know it's not any of my other plugins or spigot itself because it worked in 1.6.4. I really love this plugin so hopefully it can be updated.

EDIT: It seems that ALL maps are broken in spigot 1.7, but still I hope this can be looked into

Works fine in 1.6.4 Craftbukkit pictures are a lil strange in regards to color depth If tried 8 colors, 16 colors, 24 , 32 64 and grayscale, cartoon stuff seems to display best, actual photos look odd.
