Standard Installation and Basic Test

Just drop the FoundDiamonds.jar in your plugins folder and reload!

If you're an OP, continue to the next step. If not, give yourself the permission fd.* (You'll give normal players fd.broadcast for broadcasts, and fd.monitor for admin messages and light level monitoring.)

The best way to test the plugin and verify that it's working is to find some natural iron or coal and break it! You should see a message.

>Note: FoundDiamonds does not announce blocks that a player has placed (Unless an OP or a player with the fd.* permission uses /fd clearplaced after placing the block) Note: Only Players with fd.broadcast can see the broadcasts (this plugin requires permissions)

Fixed a bug where it was impossible to give out one random item
Fixed a bug where the random item is also given to the person who mined the diamonds...
Added random potions to the config so you can now select which potions to give out (even bad ones maybe!)
Removed potion messages for now and replaced with something far simpler
Added more default potions (night vision is cool!)

Troubleshooting

Is the ore you broke a block that was placed by you or someone else. Do /fd clearplaced?
Is the world you're breaking ores in listed in /fd world list?
Are you using the latest version of FoundDiamonds? /fd version
Are you using the CB build this was built against?
Are you breaking ore in creative mode with creative mode disabled in the config?
Did you make changes to the config and forget to do /fd reload?

If none of the above helped you, it's likely that you have found a bug. Please report the bug along with your config.yml and any errors in the console you may be receiving so I can look into it.

Admin messages are easy to set up. You simply need fd.monitor on the group, you want to 'monitor' and give the admins, fd.admin. Now we get into the commands: /fd admin is the stem, we will be using all of the commands from the stem.

To add admin message blocks, we type, the stem + add 'block type'. /fd admin add diamond ore. Diamond ore will be added to he admin message list and will be send to the admins when the ore is broken.
To remove admin message block, we type, the stem + remove 'block type'. /fd remove diamond ore. Now when the player mines diamond ore, it won't get sent to the admins.
To view a list of admin message blocks, we type, the stem + list. /fd admin list, we will recieve a list of all the admin message blocks.

There isn't much configuration at all! Just add fd.broadcast to your permission groups and you're good to go!

@HexaDroid

Admin messages are private and broadcasts are public and are broadcasted to the whole server. To set up admin messages follow the steps above ^ and to get the broadcast messages just add fd.broadcast to your permission groups.

Here is an idea for a feature:

A way to see how many of X block X player has mined in X amount of time. And/Or a stone/ore ratio

Why is there so much configuration for a feature that should be simple? Can you add an alternative download of a stripped down version of this plugin that solely announces the findings of specified ores on world chat?

It's a great plugin, but I have a question:

Is there some way to set up the Admin Messages? I mean, How can I change "Player just found..." to another message?

Or is there someway to broadcast this:
Broadcasts:
Options:
Message: '@Player@ found @Number@ @BlockName@'
Use player nicknames: true
Use classic ore colors for ores: true

To just mods and admins?

Hey, I am having some trouble with this plugin. I am op/owner on my server and I want to see messages from when players mine diamond/redstone/iron etc but I don't want them to see it...how can I accomplish this?

Also, what can I really use the trap blocks for?

Hi, is there any way to add more than 3 items to the list of items given once someone found diamonds? Even if i add them they don't show in game as if they weren't read. I added them like this: Random Item 1: 265 Random Item 2: 263 Random Item 3: 340 Random Item 4: 326 Random Item 5: 369 Random Item 6: 372 Random Item 7: 361

I'm not getting the broadcasts to the admin group. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Regular players have fd.monitor and admins have fd.*

Using latest FD and 1.4.7 Bukkit R0.1

Also what is the difference between admin messages and broadcasts?

Epic plugin :) finally its updated :p Installed it today and already caught 2 xray users which I didn't caughted with orebf. Both together are handy :p

Before I switched host it broadcasted to ONLY moderators and admins that someone found diamond. Now it changed... Not sure why. I have the same permissions folder. Can anyone tell me how I can make it only announce to admins and mods that a member+ found diamonds?

Sorry, I misread the question. Change it to false.

You also need the permission, fd-montior on the group(s) you wan't to block.

When i change the config to that, it still will not stop players from mining in complete darkness. What exact permissions would these players need in order to prevent them form mining with brightness mods?

Tested with the latest dev version of Spigot and working fine. Try deleting your config. Also why do you admins have fd.monitor? Unless you want to monitor what your admins mine? In your config, under admin message you can get rid of diamond, white, since that is completely useless.

Admin Messages: Admin Message Blocks: - gold ore,gold - diamond ore,aqua - diamond,white #Get rid of this. - iron ore,gray

No errors in the log, everything works except the broadcast

Latest version of FoundDiamonds

Admins have fd.broadcast, fd.admin, and fd.monitor perms
