Standard Installation and Basic Test

Just drop the FoundDiamonds.jar in your plugins folder and reload!

If you're an OP, continue to the next step. If not, give yourself the permission fd.* (You'll give normal players fd.broadcast for broadcasts, and fd.monitor for admin messages and light level monitoring.)

The best way to test the plugin and verify that it's working is to find some natural iron or coal and break it! You should see a message.

>Note: FoundDiamonds does not announce blocks that a player has placed (Unless an OP or a player with the fd.* permission uses /fd clearplaced after placing the block) Note: Only Players with fd.broadcast can see the broadcasts (this plugin requires permissions)

Note: Traps may or may not work in this version. Not sure what direction to go with these yet.
Updated outdated licenses and renamed packages
Fixed a bug with the clearplaced command not working for flat file setups
Fixed odd things in the config
Fixed a bug where it was impossible to give out one random item
Fixed a bug where the random item is also given to the person who mined the diamonds...
Added random potions to the config so you can now select which potions to give out (even bad ones maybe!)
Removed potion messages for now and replaced with something far simpler
Added more default potions (night vision is cool!)

Troubleshooting

Is the ore you broke a block that was placed by you or someone else. Do /fd clearplaced?
Is the world you're breaking ores in listed in /fd world list?
Are you using the latest version of FoundDiamonds? /fd version
Are you using the CB build this was built against?
Are you breaking ore in creative mode with creative mode disabled in the config?
Did you make changes to the config and forget to do /fd reload?

If none of the above helped you, it's likely that you have found a bug. Please report the bug along with your config.yml and any errors in the console you may be receiving so I can look into it.

i'm guesing your refering to the messages "X player found # Z ores" yes the player needs access to fd.broadcast

The plugin works on 1.4.2 but, the players won't see anything if they get ores. Only me (OP) can see if I break ores. So is this a bug or do I need to do some permissions?

Yes that is exactly what i wanted for the light level thing and for hiding what certain players can see would be awesome if you could add that.

There currently isn't a way to hide what certain players or groups find from the server...I can look into doing that in a future release though.

As far as light level showing up, I'm not sure what you're asking. The next version might have what you're wanting though - because I just added some light level stats for the broadcast messages.

If change: Broadcasted Blocks: - gold ore,gold to Broadcasted Blocks: - gold erz,gold

it still says (ingame)

Spieler hat 1 gold ore gefunden and not Spieler hat 1 gold erz gefunden

The broadcast messages could be changed in the configuration file, but as of right now the menus have no other language options besides English :/

I forgot to add the fd.monitor node to permissions. Weird, I never knew of that permission until recently haha. Anyways oops :D

My notifications have also stopped on my server. Any suggestions? I have admin notifications on and listed the block for notification receiving for admins and given all the necessary permissions.

Same problem as fussionz. I no longer receive notifications. It stopped when I updated to 3.6. My Bukkit is 1.3.2-R1.1. Done everything to make it work. I only get log file list but no notifications in chat. It worked fine before.

UPDATE: I deleted old config file and now it works. nvmd

Using latest RB and found diamond im having trouble receiving diamond ore break notifications ( and logging )

Yeah well, I just said that blocking the breaking of not lit ores shouldn't be done, as many users see well in the dark.

Also, what you say requires that an admin is permanently on. My server is rather small, so I need to check what somebody mined afterwards. Thus: Checking the log.txt.

Hi this already exists. It's called Admin messages:

To set this up you need to do / fd admin add emerald ore (Emerald ore will now be added to the admin message list)

The users you want to monitor need the permission:

fd.monitor

Now whenever the group/user with this permission breaks an ore on the admin message list, the admins will be notified.
