Standard Installation and Basic Test

Just drop the FoundDiamonds.jar in your plugins folder and reload!
If you're an OP, continue to the next step. If not, give yourself the permission fd.*
(You'll give normal players fd.broadcast for broadcasts, and fd.monitor for admin messages and light level monitoring.)
The best way to test the plugin and verify that it's working is to find some natural iron or coal and break it! You should see a message.
>Note: FoundDiamonds does not announce blocks that a player has placed (Unless an OP or a player with the fd.* permission uses /fd clearplaced after placing the block) Note: Only Players with fd.broadcast can see the broadcasts (this plugin requires permissions)

Troubleshooting
- Is the ore you broke a block that was placed by you or someone else. Do /fd clearplaced?
- Is the world you're breaking ores in listed in /fd world list?
- Are you using the latest version of FoundDiamonds? /fd version
- Are you using the CB build this was built against?
- Are you breaking ore in creative mode with creative mode disabled in the config?
- Did you make changes to the config and forget to do /fd reload?
If none of the above helped you, it's likely that you have found a bug. Please report the bug along with your config.yml and any errors in the console you may be receiving so I can look into it.

I'm having this same problem. With broadcasts on, everyone sees the notices. With just admin messages, nobody does.

Posted Jul 15, 2012I found a bug!
If I do /fd toggle iron to turn off notifications for my users, it also disables mining in the dark. It disables showing of messages to admin aswell.
Can you please fix this? :)

hi, i use the plugin to track down xray users by checking diamond finds, at this time i need to upload the log file to share with admins, but with mysql i can just link a webfile to the database so they can read the log up to date any time.

the plugin stops working when the server restarts, can you fix this? also if you can maybe add an option to read logs by using something like /fdlog <playername> then to go through pages use /fdlog page 2, ect
another thing i would like to suggest is that if people are mining and go for diamonds and no other ores have it throw a message to admins saying something like "watch <playername> possible Xrayer"

Posted Jul 3, 2012Hi, just asking something here. My players can see the fd messages even when they don't have the permission fd.broadcast. If I turn off the broadcast in the config and leave admin alerts on, I(Admin) cannot see the alert. Note: When they do see the broadcast, its says "[FD] message" to them but to me, it says "[FD Admin] message"

Posted Jul 2, 2012For some reason even though I have tried adding the permission to owner I do not receive broadcasts when a player finds any kind of ore. I havent changed anything in the config but from looking at it and the wiki I shouldnt have to. Says install and go break ore see if it works. It does for my elitevip class that I have give the grp permission and I have give every grp above that including owner the permission yet I cannot see the message as op and owner..is it possible that being owner and op is confusin it?

Posted Jun 29, 2012Whenever someone finds diamonds and everyone else gets rewarded a diamond sword (we set it to reward a diamond sword with a 5% chance in the config) the sword dissapear once you click or select it in your inventroy.

Posted Jun 28, 2012This doesn't work, it tells everyone who found the ore even if i put the fd.broadcast in the lets say Mod part of my Group Manager my players see if someone else broke an ore please fix this/ tell me what im doing wrong D:

Of course it's possible. Just dont give your default / non-staff ranks permission to see messages. And they wont. This plugin works perfectly for me. No matter what configurations i do. Nice job :)
PS: You should let all see the msg's that way players will know who's cheating too.

Posted Jun 25, 2012The broadcast permission node doesn't seem to work properly. Even if the fd.broadcast is negated, it still broadcasts to that user. Furthermore, in debug mode, it says "fd.messages not enabled" but then goes on to broadcast it to them anyways.
The result being its impossible to keep the broadcasts to admin only. Hope you update/fix this soon - Thanks!
