Standard Installation and Basic Test

Just drop the FoundDiamonds.jar in your plugins folder and reload!
If you're an OP, continue to the next step. If not, give yourself the permission fd.*
(You'll give normal players fd.broadcast for broadcasts, and fd.monitor for admin messages and light level monitoring.)
The best way to test the plugin and verify that it's working is to find some natural iron or coal and break it! You should see a message.
>Note: FoundDiamonds does not announce blocks that a player has placed (Unless an OP or a player with the fd.* permission uses /fd clearplaced after placing the block) Note: Only Players with fd.broadcast can see the broadcasts (this plugin requires permissions)

Troubleshooting
- Is the ore you broke a block that was placed by you or someone else. Do /fd clearplaced?
- Is the world you're breaking ores in listed in /fd world list?
- Are you using the latest version of FoundDiamonds? /fd version
- Are you using the CB build this was built against?
- Are you breaking ore in creative mode with creative mode disabled in the config?
- Did you make changes to the config and forget to do /fd reload?
If none of the above helped you, it's likely that you have found a bug. Please report the bug along with your config.yml and any errors in the console you may be receiving so I can look into it.

The permissions have changed. You now need 'fd.broadcast' to see broadcasts.
The reason I had to change this is because the old way was causing a lot of problems. Server admins kept getting the negative permission -ignore.broadcasts (which has now been removed).

You can actually just link to the file download page even if it isn't approved yet (even guests will be able to see/DL it). I'm not sure if this is intentional or not.

If you're running a stable server and can't afford bugs, don't update yet. This is a beta build, and there could be bugs. (Although honestly the old version was pretty buggy anyway which is why I rewrote a lot of it)
That being said, I'd recommend generating a new config.yml file (deleting your old one) and having a quick glance at the new FoundDiamonds wiki.

There should be an option to custom colors for each block. (Number 3) I don't know much about number 4.

Posted May 10, 2012Like the plug-in. Couple of suggestions.
1. By default, a random magic spell is cast when a player finds diamonds. This should be OFF by default please - admin's should not need to be concerned about a plug-in introducing new features to their server unless they explicitly enable it.
2. Take out the [FD] prefix in front of each message. Allow it to be customized. For example, [Server]: or even blank.
3. Allow the color of the broadcasts to be changed. (Different color's for each type of block?)
4. Allow an option to disable the console messages. It's redundant to have it logged in two places and will increase the size of the server log file unnecessarily. I kind of like having it logged in a separate place. Server log's are big enough already.

set to true with 10% as default I have given admin the perms for messages
But still people can mine in the complete dark
And help i would be thankfull

Posted May 4, 2012Hey SeeD Hows it going, I am still waiting for the new version 3.2.8 if I am not wrong where everything is configurable :D
But I have a bug for you.
In protected worldguard regions if a player breaks a ore that he doesnt have permission to break he can spam the ore notification for ever.
Any fix for that?

I also have a tiny request, if it's already on there then nevermind, I haven't found it yet, but can you make it so that your plugin will also say what tool they're using in the config? Like.. '@Player@ is mining @Number@ @BlockName@ with @ToolName' Thanks for making such an interesting plugin as well!

Posted Apr 21, 2012The permissions issue is already fixed in the next version - it's just taking a long time to implement this in the most flexible way possible. In the next release, you'll be able to choose to broadcast any block, in any color you choose :) You will no longer be restricted to the blocks in the config, or the colors I picked for them.

Thanks, I figured it out before I looked back at the thread for a second time. I had '*' as my stuff for FD in PEX and I just spaced it to ' * ' and now it works like normal. :p
