FastSurvival 3.22

Less grinding, stranger survival.

Download FastSurvival 3.22 for Paper 26.2 and Java 25.

FastSurvival speeds up the parts of survival you've done a thousand times (digging tunnels, chopping trees, chasing ore) and spends the time you save on something stranger: bows that teleport you or pull enemies in, items that turn the damage you take into your next hit, mobs with new tricks, and a Moon you can build your way to.

Everything runs on the server. Players join with an ordinary Minecraft client: no client mod, no resource pack and no other plugins.

🚀 Quick start

  1. Run a Paper 26.2 server on Java 25.
  2. Download FastSurvival 3.22 and drop the jar into your server's plugins folder.
  3. Start the server. Settings live in plugins/FastSurvival/config.yml.

That's it. New players spawn with an Automatic Tools Guide, an automatic wooden pickaxe and an automatic wooden shovel, so they can try it straight away.

🎮 What can you do first?

⛏️ Let your tools do the boring bit

Your ordinary vanilla tools get smarter. There's nothing to craft or enchant.

  • Axe: chop one log and the whole tree comes down.
  • Pickaxe and shovel: dig a two-high tunnel as you walk, or clear a 3×3 layer when digging up or down.
  • Hit an ore: the whole connected vein comes out and the drops fly to you.
  • Right-click a wall with your pickaxe or shovel to place a torch from your inventory.

Prefer to earn it? One config switch makes each tool need a bit of redstone first.

🏹 Pick a stranger bow

There are twelve custom bow types, and each changes the fight differently:

  • An Ender bow teleports you to whatever you hit.
  • A Magnetic bow drags your target towards you.
  • An Explosive bow builds a charge on the target that detonates later.
  • A Bouncy bow's arrows hop between enemies.
  • An Icy bow freezes the target in a block of ice.
  • Multi, Electric, Wither, Water, Torch and two Sky bows are the rest.

Watch out: skeletons sometimes pick them up too.

💎 Collect special items

There are 28 special items across three tiers. You find them as rare mob drops, and they're more common on the Moon. Store the damage you take and unleash it in your next hit. Swing a berserk sword that hits harder the closer you are to dying. Read a sniper's guide that rewards long shots, or strap on assault gear that sends your fall damage into the enemies you land on.

🧭 Get around and build faster

  • Recall: link it to an emerald block, stand still for a few seconds and you're home. Link it to a lodestone and it even works across dimensions.
  • Builder's Wand: right-click to extend a surface by up to 32 blocks. Shift-right-click to undo and shift-left-click to redo.
  • /recipes: opens an in-game recipe browser for bows, tools, special items and everything else. Every FastSurvival recipe is unlocked when you join.

🧟 Meet some tougher mobs

Some creepers spawn charged and fast. Skeletons ride spiders. Zombies turn up in better armour or carrying knock-up sticks, and some endermen can knock items right out of your inventory. In exchange, mobs drop more experience.

🌙 Build your way to the Moon

The Moon is the heart of FastSurvival. You don't reach it with a command in survival: you build the way there. Craft the Moon Portal Guide, then assemble a portal from at least 8 iron blocks, 4 iron bars, 2 wooden buttons and a stone button to activate it. Power it up and check its status display before you jump.

What's waiting up there:

  • Low gravity. You jump higher and falls hurt far less.
  • A permanent new-moon midnight with no weather, where torches, campfires and fire won't burn. Don't try to sleep there: beds explode.
  • Cratered terrain with acid lakes, and copper and diamond to mine.
  • Lunar mobs in glass helmets, faster and jumpier than on Earth. Step on the acid goo and more zombies come for you.
  • Roads, rings and a connected power grid of covered cables, relays and small service buildings, all stretching across the surface.
  • Places to discover in newly explored terrain, from flags and rockets to unusual trees, craters and a sprawling escape complex.

The Moon guide covers portal parts, energy and the status display in detail.

☁️ Peek at the Sky

The Sky is an experimental second dimension with floating islands of snow and pale oak, copper grates, sea lanterns and ice. Skeletons there favour the Sky bows. It's still evolving, so treat it as a place to explore rather than a finished dimension. The Dimensions guide has more.

Look for icy arches and Sky trees as you explore new islands. Back on Earth and in the Nether, newly explored land can hold surprises of its own, including balloons, graveyards and hidden huts.

🧭 Upgrading an existing world?

Stop the server and back up all worlds and plugin data together before installing 3.22. New terrain and structures appear as you explore new chunks; older areas stay as they were. Existing installations may need their structure settings enabled in config.yml to match a fresh 3.22 installation. The server-owner upgrade guide walks through the rest.
