What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

With the new bukkit beta release, Factions breaks the command loader.

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Command /f cannot be alias for itself

Is there any way around this, or will we need to wait for the next Factions update?

I have to questions. One, how do I make it so that it says what faction your in, in chat? Two, How do I make it so you claim land that isn't connected to land that's already claimed?

For anyone not knowing why the folder is not showing it because it is OUTSIDE of the plugins folder in a folder called mstore.

Hey I got an issue, I got the plugins and it is working fine but has no config folder apart from the Mocore one which has only one file. Is there anyway to get the factions folder? Also faction commands work, and the plugin shows on /pl. answer here I'm sure it will help tons of people.

in the mstore folder there is a folder called factions_mconf and there is a file in it called instance.json(the config file i guess you already know that)

Search for this line " "chatParseTags": false,"

And set it to true :)

It works for me and i use essentials chatmanager

Probably because you have enabled creeper explosions in territory and not in enemy territory :)

DON'T works :( the jar doesn't create the faction's directory, the commands work (Ex. /f create) but in chat don't appear the faction name :(( help. Sorry for my english but i'm italian

why when i enable explosions and offline explosions creeper can blow or damage warzone?

Any plans on implementing an easier peaceful system or a orange name to represent it like back in the day? I don't mind it at the moment, but maybe a feature that only involves one command to peaceful that faction. Currently we gave mods flag their region, but it gets tedious when you have constant applications coming in.

You wanna go into the essentials.config file and scroll down to essentials chat In there you will need to change some scripts. If you need the exact script add me on skype Minecrafts_a_lot Minecrafts_a_lot
