What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)
New In Factions 2.8
- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Hello,
On my server i use Groupmanager for the Permissions.
But when i downloaded Factions i cant see the Prefix of the Faction name?
Can u help me? do i need to download a another plugin to fix this?
Please someone answer.

Posted Feb 27, 2014Suggestion: Please put the ENTIRE changelog in each upload. I didn't bother updating with 1.6, so i did not see the warning saying to delete the faction folder... Atleast, include major warnings like those please!

Posted Feb 27, 2014just wondering, its probably in here somewhere anyways, but how do you make it so that people have to use money (server money, not real) for claiming faction land? and if it is defaultly like that, how do you change that amount? (i has good engrish)

I have factions 1.6.9.5 and I have a problem. On my server there are all factions and claimed zones but all factions are empty and file players.json became players.json_bad. Please help what can I do?

Posted Feb 25, 2014Factions Crashes My Server D;
Hello, everytime i try to install factions to my server it crashes. So the first thing i did was drag the Factions.jar into my plugins folder. Then i restarted my server. Thats is when it crashed. I turned it on and then i went to the config to see if there were any errors or not, then it said this '25.02 08:21:38 [Server] INFO java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Command /f cannot be alias for itself'

Posted Feb 25, 2014Factions is conflicting with MCPC+. It seems the problem come from the alias "/f". I try to change the command alias to "/fa", "/faction" and "" (in the folder factions_mconf), but nothing works. Please help me, I need Factions and MCPC+ on my server!

Inside the /mstore/factions_mconf/ You'll find the .json file. In there, you'll find this line, "playersWhoBypassAllProtection": [],
Modify the brackets to [ "Name" ]
And you're done.

As the factions we have get larger and larger, it gets difficult to keep track of members, so our leaders would like to know if there is a way to have a list of the members of the faction? Like a simple command or place we can get this information easily. Thanks
