What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Why the heck did you force it with MCore... I really dislike this idea.

Sorry, but you've lost me.

P.S: This probably wont change anything due to I'm 1 out of 1 million.

Another item that might be worth considering.. Faction names are now stored as hash-like strings. That means when I run a simple economy command like /baltop, it shows the second-wealthiest player on my server is facton-f7ef987-fefe987fe-oifoijsef-fsepoefp.

Obviously the faction bank account balances ought to be held separate from player accounts (as they were in pre-Factions-2.0), but even then, a human-readable naming or alias scheme would be immensely helpful.

You can edit Instance.JSON files while your server is running and, they will automatically be reloaded. Try giving it a go while your server is running.

There is no /f who, now. It's /f f or, /f f factionname.

Im trying to change the PlayerDataREmove when banned and playerdataremoved when inactive for (?) days. Im changing it when the server is off. Then i turn it on when im done editing it but it then stops working, the plugin stops working until i reset that i have edited

So... I need the permission node for a player to be able to do /f who but can't find it. Could anybody please let me know what the permission node that allows the player to do /f who is? Thanks!

I am trying to disable faction in separate worlds

worldsNoClaiming: [], this is what i am supposed to modify, but nothing i try works

I've tried worldsNoClaiming: "WORLD", / : "World", / : WORLD, / : World, /: [WORLD], / : [World], : ["WORLD"],: ["World"], The world name is: World

I am out of idea of what it is supposed to look like in this field. What am I supposed to replace the brackets with, i need a working example.

If you have FactionsPlus, which it sounds like you do... You'll have to go into the config and find something related to claiming near enemies or something like that. Then just change it to 'false'...

When you're saving the plugin are you doing it while your server is off? Turn your server off, then save the plugin and start it back up. You may be messing up the code so be careful what you're changing, some of the stuff you shouldn't have to edit. What exactly are you trying to change?

When players try to claim some chunks it tells them that they can't do that while an enemy is in that chunk, even tho there isn't.

You may be messing up the config, try posting your config to - http://yaml-online-parser.appspot.com/ and if it doesn't come out properly on the right then you messed up. If you did mess up it will show you the error. (Don't copy the one of the right it will be different and weird, but probably will work the same...)

Is it possible to disable factions in a world? If so how? I have mc tf2 games and it stops people in the same faction from killing each other.
