What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

There is no such feature and we are not planning on implementing it. You can create a hook yourself probably though.

For some reason on a server I own and play on with my friends, only ops and faction admins can open containers in a faction owned area. Even if you are part of the faction you still cannot open anything. I tried configuring it to work, but i am still clueless on what to do. Any help?

We're planning on implementing that into FactionsPlus in the near future.

I've updated to the new 1.8 I fixed the chat and all, but I want my players to access enemy chests anywhere but not be able to build or do anything else there, How do I select all factions and change all users to be able to access those chests in all factions using /f perm or another command I might be missing.

I really love the permissions you guys have added, it makes managing a faction on a hardcore PVP server way easier. But I'd like to be able to set who can use /f home as well if that is possible.

I was also wondering if in the future we could be able to actually create ranks (other than -, +, & *) within the faction for our members so that I can divide permissions between them more dynamically.

Lastly, these guys have made a great addon for factions. Some of those features could be great if integrated into the main plugin.

Hey i have a problem with the faction prefix it is real ugly now! It is like <TeamCobraH MineWorst> How can i fix this?

My No world claiming and No world Wilderness both do not work. I have added 2 worlds into each by /f config command which did not work, I did restart the server afterwards, they are in the config.json but are not working. Although the No world power loss seems to be working fine thats why its a bit weird.

Please help me! Thanks!

Hi, i'm having problems with the plugin... When i try to ''allow raiding'' by deleting the protected stuff from the "territoryProtectedMaterials" part, i can't find it! And when i try using /f config territoryProtectedMaterials "chest" it just says: No configuration setting ''territoryprotectedmaterials'' exists. Can someone help?

This is true this is true. Any word on the commands not working such as making factions peaceful? As an OP I am unable to use these commands, general commands that my players have permissions to as well are receiving error when trying to use.

If you want to invest the time yourself and add in a pullrequest on github, feel free to. And no, it is actually a win loose situation. Cayorion looses time, that he can spend better on other projects.

Use inheritance and your problems are gone. Permsions are needed and they need time to settup properly, if you fail at it it is not my fault.

@kevinessence I agree this is a pain in the ass. My players are pissed as they are not leaders of their own factions and nobody can do shit and when i update its even worse as I need to add like 25 perm nodes to 40 groups.
