What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)
New In Factions 2.8
- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Setup I am looking for... World A - Factions of all types, including peaceful ones. World B - ALL PVP even if your in a peaceful faction.

Posted Feb 7, 2012stupid qustion, But I have a VIP program on my server and when someone donates one of the perks is 100 power for there faction. Do I use /f powerboost now or do I use /f permanentpower ?

You said that essential gives a delay of teleportation? I'll watch it. I'll go to the forum NoCheat to request more info;)

EDIT :
While I'm talking to a god minecraft;) can you not way to avoid duplication on a server? The kind of duplication with teleportation and Craft table or something like that?
Or the means to remove an object from the server, as its no one has? An enchanted sword kind xD

Olof added integration with the Essentials plugin's teleport delay and cooldown features to the 1.7 dev branch. I'll probably be backporting that to the 1.6 branch for the next release.
As for cheat prevention, NoCheat is probably your best bet. I don't use it currently so I can't advise you on how to use it. Another approach is to use Spout and require players use the Spoutcraft client to connect to your server (effectively preventing most cheats), and use a plugin like my TexturePackMenu to force server-sanctioned texture pack usage (preventing x-ray texture packs), but that is likely to reduce your playerbase from people unwilling to use the Spoutcraft client.

Here, I would put a delay before teleporting / f home. Just a few seconds. I have a PVP server but too much abuse of this teleportation to avoid getting killed and I do not know what to do. If you could help me, I'll be very grateful.
While I am, you would know a plugin that prevents Xray, fly and other cheats? I found NoCheat but I can not configure it, maybe you advise me another plugin to this and cheat-engine ...

From the sound of things, you're after worldsIgnorePvP. worldsNoWildernessProtection pertains to block protection and so forth in wilderness, if you have such protection in wilderness enabled (it's not by default).

No way to disable it, nor should you, but it sounds like you might be running 1.6.5b or older and need to update to 1.6.5c (see the changelog).

Posted Feb 6, 2012Any way to make it so a certain world is PVP too all players even if they are in a peaceful faction? I currently have a world that has customer ore generation and I want it to remain a dangerous place for all players.
Any way to set an entire world as a warzone?

After a little thought, I suppose it's sensible enough to have safe zones and (if configured to work that way) peaceful faction territory still provide PVP protection even in worlds specified in worldsIgnorePvP.

You'd need to know the CraftBukkit version. I think 1060 was around 1.7.3, but I wouldn't swear to it. Once you've determined that, check our files:

1.6.5c didn't make any changes which could cause something like that. What command exactly are they using and what is the exact message they receive?
EDIT: on second thought, the problem might have shown up for you between 1.6.4 and 1.6.5 since we removed direct support for the PermissionsEx plugin and "Permissions" plugin. All modern permission plugins interface through Bukkit's built-in superperms permission system which has been available for quite some time now. Surely you're not still using the ancient "Permissions" plugin? I'm pretty sure PermissionsEx was updated to work with superperms quite some time ago.

As long as they're declared enemies, it shouldn't be a problem. If they're hiding behind walls, their enemies can either wait or resort to TNT cannons.

Posted Feb 6, 2012How do you get this for 1.7.3? This may sound shocking seen as everyone plays minecraft 1.1 but my friends minecraft only works on 1.7.3 so i have an 1.7.3 server! Thank you if this possible! Really Love this PLUGIN!
