What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)
New In Factions 2.8
- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

They removed it. There is a FactionChat plugin that servers as a very good replacement though!

Posted Mar 4, 2013Is it possible to remove the [(FACTION)] the stars * from mod and admin when in public chat but still keep them in faction / ally chat and list them when using /f who?

Hey dude open the config and scroll down to "territoryProtectedMaterials" and remove "CHEST" from there go down to "territoryProtectedMaterialsWhenOffline " and do the same thing.
You can remove other items from it aswell if you want those to be unprotected.

Posted Mar 3, 2013My friend and I have recently been trying the new feature of "Factions Working With Herochat", but It doesn't make relation colors in global chat. We edited the config for hours and put every thing into the global default chat format, and nothing. Please help!

Posted Mar 3, 2013Could you add support to blocking sign interaction of enemy land maybe?
Like we use craftbook and it got gates and bridges etc.
Would be nice if we could block it for other factions.
And there are many other plugins that use intractable signs.
So think it wouldn't be a bad feature.
And thanks for adding the pr with the new recruiter roles and stuff gonna be really useful :)

Posted Mar 3, 2013Is there a way in which I can ignore enemies too close to players in specific worlds? Etc one of my players can't teleport away from the "Game Hub world" because his enemies are too close.

Posted Mar 3, 2013Great mod! But one issue. This removes all color from chat that is reported to console. If I speak in all red text, it shows up regularly in my console. Without the plugin, I see player name colors and colored chat just fine. Is there a fix for this?

Posted Mar 2, 2013i have just installd factions and wanted to claim my city/castle but i claimd the wals that are around my city/castle but when i look to dynmap is shows that every thing inside my city/castle is claimd but thats not thrue i only claimd the wals hou can i claim a circle but let dynmap show the inside of the circle unclaimd

Posted Mar 1, 2013Hello there, there is a friend on my server with divorced parents.. he said to me, wel if i go to my mom in the summer vacations i can't come on the server for 3 weeks... well then he gets kicked out his faction... wel i was thinking about a /f vacation command.. that will freeze u on the spot u were. and when u are back u will log in (on cracked servers) and u get to see in chat. [Factions] U are still on vacation, please type /f vacation | /f vac. to unlock ur vacation status... or something :$... and when someone else type in chat /f who <whutever faction> and someone is on vacation there he will see [V] in front or behind the name from the person that's on vacation.
so when u are on vacation u wont get kicked out ur faction. :)
