What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)
New In Factions 2.8
- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Posted Feb 28, 2013------------------------ I would like to disable / f truce But keep / f ally / enemy f / f neutral It's possible ?------------------------ I want new players to be in the faction "beginner" way back on the server. (without PVP faction, etc. ..). Soon as they leave they can not reinstated. I managed to do almost anything except make sure they will be automatically faction in the "beginner" way back on the server. "newPlayerStartingFactionID": "x" -> only ensures that when a player is not he join the faction faction x. Me I want it to automatically join the first time and as soon as he could leave to return. M hoping you "ailliez understood, despite my bad English.-------------------------

You'd need to post the full error stack trace, not just the truncated bit you posted. If I were to wildly guess though, your tags.json file might be messed up. You can safely delete it and Factions will recreate it.

Posted Feb 27, 2013Hi, I have protectionstones on my server and would like to know if there is a way to prevent factions with power from claiming the land around them. They claim other users' protected area and can't build since they are not in the faction. I haven't found any permission node for this so all help is appreciated!

To alow fighting for things like hunger games in differant worlds do
/f config ignorepvp (worldnamehere)
without the () and that lets them fight in that world nomater if there in the same faction or not. :)

Posted Feb 26, 2013i'm using 1.7.8 beta with tekkit lite (the conf.json won't generate for any others) and groupmanager. i cant seem to get the factions to show up in the name despite trying both {FACTION} and [FACTION] with Essentials Chat.
any ideas/help are much appreciated.

Posted Feb 26, 2013I am having an extremely annoying problem, i created a faction called "Temp" just to check that everything is working, but when i type in the chat, this is the tag that comes up: aTemp r<[Head-Admin]...
Can you please just spoon feed me on how to get rid of that a and that r? so it just says Temp <[Head-Admin]...

Posted Feb 25, 2013Perhaps we're missing something here.. we can see the /f flag menu, and we can change the default flag settings using /f config, but how do we set flags for individual factions without going into the config file by hand?
Shouldn't there be a /f setflag command or similar?
