What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Do you reccomand another economy plugin I could use to see if fe economy is the problem?

I'm not sure, I've never heard of fe economy before. I don't really have time to dig into what might be the problem between it and Vault and Factions, either. From your log it looks like Factions and Vault are getting along fine, so... I don't know. Good luck with it though.

Maybe you should add the forum to your page, and specify that support is given by other users only.

That way you don't have to waste time answering the same question over and over again.
Also users will at least be able to look for specified questions that have been asked in the past.

That is from log. I am using fe economy. I was also able to create a faction for 100 fe, the only thing I was not able to do was load money onto my factions balance. It does get deducted from my own balance but doesn't get added. Any ideas why? :s, Are there plugins that make factions bug? The messages when I tried to add it were as following (chat): "You gave 1.000 Fe to your faction." and then after checking balance: Your faction's balance is 0 Fe

Again i ask...

How do i make it so when a faction is created it generates square brackets around the faction name

No fac: [rank][name] with fac: [fac][rank][name]

im using 1.6.9.4 i think it is?

What version of Factions are you using? Please double-check in your server startup log for the version reported by your server rather than guessing or assuming that you're using "the latest version". I ask because item frame protection from explosions was added in 1.6.9.2 / 1.7.8 beta.

@Artegoland

Make sure you have economy properly enabled and have Vault and an economy plugin which Vault is correctly using. You should be able to check on all of that based on your server startup log for Factions and Vault.

It seems I can't add mney to the balance of my faction. It says I added it but when I check faction balance or try to claim land it shows 0 / says I don't have enough. It does get deducted though...

Hi I been having 2 problems with factions:

1) My members are having trouble with redstone inside faction lands. Redstone wire freezes in the middle of the path sometimes and pistons also get stuck. They have to unclaim land and everything works fine again.

2) Creepers still blow up item frames inside faction land, even though I disabled block explosions. So I have to world guard areas with items frames to protect them from being popped off. Any news on creeper protection for item frames?

Is it possible for you guys to add a permission were only faction members are able to use the command /sethome in their own faction area? What I was saying is were players of a if different faction can't use /sethome in a claimed area by a different faction.

HeroChat, is there a way to get it to function with faction, they dont seem to be compatible, and so I have to go without hero chat, :( if anyone knows anything about this (sorry is this issue has already been discussed), could you please give me a heads up.

For some reason when I try to add faction balance on my server the money dissapears from my account but doesn't get added on faction, any idea why? :O

Need some help, how do i install this on a Voltz server.. its not even detected in there (yes i have extracted the .jar) if i type /plugins its not in there and /f help dosn't work
