What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Finally. Maybe now we'll get fewer people posting "it doesn't work" or "it says my CraftBukkit is too old but I'm running the latest Recommended build".

Factions Chat bug with new essentials [MAJOR ISSUES]

Downloaded essentials 2.9.3 and this happends to my chat with factions...wtf.

How do you make it so a player on Faction A can't teleport to a player on Faction B?

i have an issue that when they create a faction the bank contains 2000 dollors and when they disband it the owner keeps the money and their make money by doing so how can i make it where they dont keep the factions bank money

I have craftbukkit 1.3.2 R1 and I want factions to be compatible with this because with craftbukkit 1.3.2 R2, some plugins are not compatible.

The obvious first step is to check your server startup log, which should give a clear indication of what went wrong.

I'll go out on a limb and guess that you're running CraftBukkit 1.3.1-R2.0 or older and trying to run one of the newest Factions releases, which require a newer CraftBukkit version such as one of their Beta releases (1.3.2-R0.2 was just released).

so i installed the factions.jar on my server but it didnt create a factions folder.... i type /pl and factions shows up in red... what do i do... all /f commands do not work...

it's better to use /f reload and /essentials reload. if you type only /reload, it can cause problems with some plugins like differnt Inventories between worlds.

Since the update to 1.6.9 the suffix from the Permissionsex plugin doesn't work with the normal chat. I test ist already i'm reallly sure that is a issue between Factions and a another chatplugin, that customize the suffix.

Please fix it. I really love this Plugin.

Does your chat look like this: a**Faction r<JackProehl>

Then…

1. Open up Faction's conf.json and scroll to: "chatTagReplaceString": "[FACTION]",

2. Change the [ ] brackets to { } like this: "chatTagReplaceString": "{FACTION}",

===================================================================

3. Open up Essential's config.yml and scroll to: format: '<{DISPLAYNAME}> {MESSAGE}'

4. Change it to: format: '<{FACTION} {DISPLAYNAME}> {MESSAGE}'

5. Save everything and type /reload in the console or in-game.

it does not work. I'm testing version of Sev as bukit tell me that the version is not compatible. my it still does not help me please : '(
