What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

it doesn't work with hero chat or essentials chat unless you use a outdated version

Don't Use ColorMe. Just use Essentials Chat or HeroChat or Something that's more reliable!

Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys had the same problem as me, I use ColorMe for prefix's and color's in my server. And i have found out that the latest factions isn't compatible with ColorMe (After version 1.6.8 1.2.5 R4.0 Build) If you ever encountered this problem and know a solution please contact me or reply to me or if its a known bug can the author reply back so i know it just isn't me. Thanks

Wrong. Sounds like you're using 1.3.1 rather than 1.3.2. Or possibly you're running a nonstandard CraftBukkit release (Tekkit, CraftBukkit+, whatever).

Im still in 1.6.9 because the 1.6.9.1 doesnt work on the Beta build CB 1.3.2-R1.0

It says that the bukkit i'm using is too old but this is the bukkit it is meant for.

Never mind, its fixed in the next Essentials Dev build which just became a release build. :)

You have no idea what your talking about, it works perfect on my server and many others.
At least submit some detail on what isn't working for you and which plugins/bukkit version your using.

Hello, Im having issues with faction chat and ally chat it says unknown command I am 100% sure I have the plugin installed as I can type /f help with 5 pages of help. Please assist, I'd also like to make it so it will show faction names of players in the regular chat please help thank you. Pinball7wiz

Latest versions of factions dont work, dont get them, use the older verisons.

As you should always do first when a plugin doesn't work, check your server log. In this case it would be right towards the start.

1.6.9.1 showing errors on worldguard checking. i think that this is a WG issue. But i will do some research first
