expbook

Version: 1.7.1

Description:

Make an altar
Use a book at the altar
Get exp from the book

NOW WORKS WITH BOOKWORM AND PERMISSIONS!!!

Commands:

/expbook reload - Reloads the plugin /expbook disable - Disables the plugin /expbook help - Shows the help page

Permissions:

expbook.*
expbook.command.* - Gives you permissions for all commands
expbook.use - Lets you use altars
expbook.create - Lets you create altars. Also lets you destroy altars.
expbook.command.reload - Lets you use /expbook reload
expbook.command.disable - Lets you use /expbook disable
expbook.command.help - Lets you use /expbook help

How to use:

Place a Lapis Lazuli Block
Place a redstone Torch on top of the Lapis Lazuli Block
Right click on the block with a book

So many plugins at the moment ... I will start a dev.bukkit thread the next minutes, so maybe tonight the first download will be ready. There is still a little bit to do, but Books->Exp and Exp->Books should work.

- convert Books into exp - convert exp into books

I will start a own Dev.Bukkit tomorrow.

Guys, tomorrow i will have a look into the Code. I think i will start working on it. Please give me some time to get into it and rebuild the permission and economy system to fit Vault. Then i will have a look into possible improvements! ;)

maybe you could talk to the creator of death and rebirth to see how he does the custom shrines as they also do block protection

when you reload your server it will give you a new config.

Thx for response. Don't found these parameters in plugin.yml. This that the correct config file?

Second question. would it be possible to integration a altar from that you gain books with your exp. so you give xp and get books? proably a red torch on a silver block?

Are you asking for exp per book?

because defaults in config are

Exp per book: 10
Bookworm: false
Book title: Book of exp
Permissions plugin: false
Block for alter: 22

would it possible to make the config the received exp. on our server 10 exp would be little to much exp for one book

Thanks, mate. The error was on my part, the players weren't carried through in their groups when I transitioned the server over. I'm extra sorry for making you waste your time looking for errors, when the error was not yours.

There's a bug somewhere...the first time I used it, holding a stack of 64 books and right clicked on the altar, the message said "you got 640 exp!" or similar, however somehow it brought me all the way up to level 65! After that, it was more reasonable.

EDIT: Try it now. if it still doesn't work I recommend using PermissionsBukkit or bPermissions.
