Important information on this project in light of recent events.

Quote from DSH105:The forums have now been enabled and can be accessed via the navigation bar. More importantly, I'm interested in your input towards the new pet attacking AI to be implemented in EchoPet v3.
If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).

The future of this plugin is still being determined.

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.

EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.


Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.

Posted May 16, 2014HUGE PROBLEM. WHAT THE HELL
So in the config I edited the 'worlds' section to make it so pets can only be in 2 worlds.
So if i'm right, they should only spawn in mainspawn and minigameshub. And the rest of the worlds (even the unmentioned worlds) should be set to false. Correct? Or does enableByDefault need to be false?
I tried to put enable by default to false, but pets still appear in the worlds i set to false.
HELP!!

/killall doent even work. the only fix i have found is to stop the server and restart it. btw with the human i died and then a zombie pet spawned. i stopped the server and restarted it and got a but load of constant errors spamming my console.

When i type /pet my server gets flooded by: [Echopet] Failed to spawn pet entity Any help?
List of plugins: Multiworld,Worledit,Signedit,SafeExplosions,Echopet,PlotMe,Plugman,JoeSkyblock,Regios,HolographicDisplays,WarpPortals,Enchantview,QuantumConnectors. (so far)

You should, people love it. Also a way to get donations is to let people buy to name their pet, ride it, get certain pets.
Through one bug is, on death, the pet might duplicate. (/pet remove doesn't remove it, must use /killall)

Posted May 12, 2014Great plugin, but when I choose the pet "Human" I get kicked from my server for: Connection Lost Disconnected from server, and when I rejoin, theres a zombie right in my face with the other pet that I've selected before. Can you fix this, please?

That would be because with 1.7.9, the game changed from managing players with their username, to using a UUID (universal User ID), and this plugin has not adapted to that fully yet, so it is bound to have conflicts.

Do you know what language you're meant to be using? It's called English.
And spigot is perfectly fine, if anything it works somewhat faster than bukkit. There is nothing wrong with Bukkit or Spigot, it's just a matter of someones preference.
