DwarfCraft
Please post all issues on the Github page(under the issues tab on github)
Description:
DwarfCraft is a plugin that allows players to improve their characters skills and capabilities. Players can pay trainers to improve their skills, which provides benefits such as increased weapon damage, decreased tool wear, increased drops from blocks or mobs, etc. Because of the training system, DwarfCraft can provide an interesting and fun RPG base for Survival MP servers that will remain relevant and interesting for casual and intense players alike.

Original Thread Page: Here
Features:
- Players may choose to play as Dwarves or Elves. Switching resets all skills. The race names are entirely configurable.
- Races allow players to specialize in certain skills which allows them to train it past the vanilla level.
- Dwarves have 40+ skills that progress from level 0 (worse than normal) to level 30 (extremely proficient). Each skill has several effects. Most effects reach par at skill level 5. New supported skills will be released.
- Skills are improved by paying a training cost to a trainer. Server admins may place trainers and customized messaging NPC. Skill costs increased with level and balanced to encourage specialization. Example: To train"Pickaxe Use" from 0 to 1 cost 16 cobblestone. To train from 15 to 16 cost 640. At level 0 pickaxes degrade 20% faster than
normal, at level 20 they degrade about 45% slower. - Skills and Effect details are easily found through in-game commands. More Information on the Bukkit Dev Page.

What about a specific penalty for each class, that by default would be 0, but could be set to a different value and a minimum threshold that would also be 0 by default? So you could punish players for dying based on their classes, but only if you wanted to and only down to a minimum threshold defined for each class.

The prefixes seem like a cool idea having name stages but resetting skills after death is a bit harsh i don't know if you fully understand how leveling works in DC. Every time you level a skill one more level it increases the amount of items required to level up any skill to the next level and its at an exponential amount im pretty sure. So getting over about 4 skills to level 30 would take forever and then to reset the skills after you die that could be over a weeks worth of effort gone down the drain because u died from fall damage or forgot to eat food. Even if it were 10 levels back its still a lot of materials and time wasted.

Posted Jun 5, 2013Hi. Is there any way you could add requirements for races? For example if I create a master race that specializes in all skills can I add as a condition to change your race to this class having mastered another class so you would basically have to master all the skills available to your class and only then be able to switch to the master class? It would also be useful to be able to create ranked classes, like novice dwarf, intermediate dwarf, expert dwarf that would have the same specializations, but instead of having all of them at level 30, on novice you would have them at 10, on intermediate at 20 and on expert at 30. And now the third request, is it possible to reset all skills on death to a minimum threshold that would be customizable for each race so, on the previous example, a novice would be reset to 0, an intermediate to 10, and an expert to 20, and the master race to 30? Sorry for the long comment.

Hi Jessy,
What I mean, is it would be cool if I could change the colour in which some of the DC text is displayed. If my players do /races they get white text, It would be nice if I could separate the classes with different coloured text.

There is no possible way unless you use SpoutCraft or Forge.

1. A trainer is a trainer they are not race specific. Only make a trainer for a skill if you want it isn't compulsory for that skill to work. 2. The only way to get skins on trainers for now is to name them with a IGN. 3. If you do /creategreeter it tells you what you need. It should be something like this /creategreeter <uniqueId which is a number> <Display Name> Servant1 Servant1 is the name in the greeter.config.
Also if you do any command without arguements it will show you what you need.
@frol1
To what chat text specifically if your looking for generally every day chatting i would suggest essentials or a chat plugin.
@faesorama
There is a partial guide on the original thread page which helps get you started otherwise no. People have offered to make video tutorials and i said go ahead but no one has then returned with a response with a video.

Posted May 15, 2013May I just ask a few questions?
1. Let's say I'm making a Dwarf Trainer. Do I have to create 1 for each skill ID on the dwarf? 2. Is there somehow to get a skin on the trainers or do I have to write in Minecraft Names?
Also I'm trying here to make a greeter with the one you put in <Servant1>
So I'm trying these commands: /Creategreeter Servant1 Servant I'm busy go away! /Creategreeter 1 Servant I'm busy go away!
And all it says is it couldn't find that greeter message. Add it to greeternessages.config. But there is no such file?
Regards,

Well there is some help in the original thread for admins its (its linked under orignal thread). Also if you're having trouble with commands the command page has details on what each command does. If you need to know the parameters just do /<command> without any arguements and it should tell you what is required. A good place to start would be creating trainers. To create greeters they have use the name you specified in the greeters config. A couple of ppl have msg'd me saying they would/are making tutorial videos but i haven't received any videos yet.

Posted May 14, 2013I have absolutely no idea of how to use this. Installed the plugin Trying to add custom text # Doesn't seem to be working Should I spawn All Trainer skills for dwarfs? Or can you get all in one or something
Could you PLEASE make a tutorial on this. It's really hard to grip.
I can't spawn a greeter cause there's no such message. And lots of other stuff.
Regards,
