DoOdy Duty
DoOdy
Separate Admin/Mod Duties so everyone can enjoy the game
- Are you tired of arguing with upset players that complain about Mod/Admin staff are abusing their Creative powers?
- Want a way to minimize the impact on your server's economy from Mod/Admins abusing Creative mode?
- Want a way to stop Mod/Admin killing players while in Creative mode?
- Want to limit the amount of OP players?
DoOdy makes these possible by limiting the power of Creative gamemode. It's a tool that allows admins/mods that wish to play as honestly as possible in survival mode to do so but still have the ability to go into creative mode without being tempted to cheat the server's ingame economy &/or PVP integrity by abusing Minecraft's 'Standard Creative Mode'. Meaning server owners can limit the amount of players with unnecessary OP level access.
Newly added Moderator Features
- Spectator mode, allows players to enter spectator mode.
- Save creative inventory, pick up where you left off.
Features
- Saving of player's inventory, armour, location & xp before they enter duty (creative mode).
- Once they leave duty (creative mode) their inventory & armour are restored & the player is teleported to their original location.
- Disable PVP while on duty (creative mode).
- Disable all/specific items/blocks from being able to be dropped.
- Disable all/specific storage access eg. Chests/Dispensers/Furnace/Storage Minecarts.
- Control what they cannot break/place through a blacklist.
- On the event of their death all their drops are removed.

Posted Sep 12, 2012Found a problem with multi-world support. I'm using Multiverse-Core and Multiverse-Portals v2.4.
When a player on duty walks through a portal, duty mode gets turned off and they get teleported back into the world they are coming from. However, their survival mode inventory is completely wiped.
EDIT: This seems to be happening to both denied worlds and allowed worlds.

I'll see what I can do.
@FordRacer2007
I'll compile one with 1.6 soon for those who can't update to 1.7 due to their silly hosts :P

Posted Sep 7, 2012Would be neat to have permissions added/removed so i can have my mods tp to players while on duty, but not tp while off duty.

Posted Sep 6, 2012Version 0.5.8 is now uploaded and waiting for approval.
Compiled with Java 1.7 so please update your java if the plugin has stopped working for you. Java 1.7 as it's now the standard.
@FordRacer2007 You can now deny commands via the config.
@kbryantLA24 You can now deny worlds. It's mostly untested so if you run into problems please let me know.

Posted Sep 6, 2012Hey, me again. Just a feature suggestion. Would be cool if you could allow blacklisting of commands. On my server I have the backpack plugin installed, and it allows members to put items in it, even from creative mode O_O.

Posted Aug 29, 2012Can you give support to multiple worlds through Multiverse? For example, a player has "duty" permissions in one world, but once he steps through a portal to another world, he no longer has "duty" permissions. Thanks!
EDIT: I can setup separate permissions for different worlds, but a player walking through portals still has Creative mode activated...

I cannot replicate the issue you're experiencing.
However to help understand why this could be happening I've just improved the debugging system of DoOdy in version 0.4.9
If you can please download DoOdy v0.4.9 and use the debugging system.
You can turn on/off debugging in game using /doody debug on/off
Please watch the log to see how the player is able to drop the said items.

This was not me that found this out. I am personally an OP but the player that found it is a Mod. They do not have doody.* or doody.dropitems. The only permission node they have is doody.duty.

Posted Jul 10, 2012I found a problem with being able to drop items even if its set to deny. If you drag the item straight out of the creative inventory and try to drop it without putting it in your inventory then you can still drop it.
Hope this can be fixed. Let me know if there's any questions.
