What is CreativeGates?
CreativeGates is a plugin that allows you to create teleportation gates without running a single command. The plugin does not impose design restrictions. Design the gate frame any way you like.
- Build a gate frame using any materials. It must however contain two emerald blocks (configurable).
- Name a clock with an anvil.
- Hit the inside of the frame with the clock
- Gates using the same clock name will connect to each other.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put CreativeGates.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- For advanced users only: Configure the MassiveCore aspects and multiverses using the commands.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_mconf/instance.json to your liking.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_conf@universe/instance.json to your liking.
- Configure permissions. CreativeGates only has two nodes.
Portal vs Water
CreativeGates can use either portal blocks or water blocks for portal content. You decide which to use in the "uconf".
For portal blocks to work without bugs you must open your server.properties and set allow-nether=false. This will disable the generation of the vanilla nether map and the vanilla nether portals. This is how we do it on MassiveCraft. You can add one, two or even three custom nether worlds using a world manager plugin later on.
For water blocks to work you don't need to do anything special. If you want the vanilla nether world and portals you probably want to change to water portals in the config. Otherwise players entering nether gates in the nether might exit through creative gates.

Posted Jul 26, 2013The newest recent file has got a very big bug, when you are in the portal you cant open the chat box with T. This needs a fix, because they can logout and when they login cant open the chat to do it.

Posted Jul 25, 2013Ok so i have two gates both named end. One is at my spawn and the other is in the end. when you walk into them it says This Portal Goes Nowhere. and then shots the player 20 or so blocks out of the portal. i used the blaze rod and it says the portals have only one gate. any help would be appreciated it is vary annoying. And yes i do have multiverse.

No. You can create gates in creative but to use them you will have to switch to survival.

Change your game mode to survival and name the gates. They should also have 2 emerald blocks each. Don't forget to link the 2 gates together.

Using 1.6.2 with Mcore and latest CreativeGates.

Example: When you 1st rename your watch to "Gate 1" and use it on one of the gates it will loose its power. Rename the watch again to "Gate 1" and link it to the other gate. Now change your gamemode to 0 (Survival) and walk through the gate. If you want guests to use the gates add this permission - creativegates.use

Very simple , Just change the form like this:
And it will not send you to the Nether! :D
Of course, this is just a example of portals you can make... Design the gate frame any way you like.

Posted Jul 23, 2013I need help before I go ..arrrgg :-) I just love this plugin though!
Creating the portal works just fine... when I turn it the right way. Sometimes when i use the clock it makes a narrow purple portal between my blocks. The if I turn it 90 degrees and use the clock it's just perfect. Isn't it possible to make these portals in any direction?
I have a square building, where I'd like a portal on each of the four walls. Two of them look just fine, but the two others look awfull! :-)
