What is CreativeGates?
CreativeGates is a plugin that allows you to create teleportation gates without running a single command. The plugin does not impose design restrictions. Design the gate frame any way you like.
- Build a gate frame using any materials. It must however contain two emerald blocks (configurable).
- Name a clock with an anvil.
- Hit the inside of the frame with the clock
- Gates using the same clock name will connect to each other.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put CreativeGates.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- For advanced users only: Configure the MassiveCore aspects and multiverses using the commands.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_mconf/instance.json to your liking.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_conf@universe/instance.json to your liking.
- Configure permissions. CreativeGates only has two nodes.
Portal vs Water
CreativeGates can use either portal blocks or water blocks for portal content. You decide which to use in the "uconf".
For portal blocks to work without bugs you must open your server.properties and set allow-nether=false. This will disable the generation of the vanilla nether map and the vanilla nether portals. This is how we do it on MassiveCraft. You can add one, two or even three custom nether worlds using a world manager plugin later on.
For water blocks to work you don't need to do anything special. If you want the vanilla nether world and portals you probably want to change to water portals in the config. Otherwise players entering nether gates in the nether might exit through creative gates.

Change the config file to say "usingWater": true instead of "usingWater": false.

Posted Aug 14, 2013I verry like the update but can you please make a config about disable the sound when they teleport and the text:"Teleporting to the gate destination"? I kinna like this plugin is easy to set up but the sound and that text kinna annoying so hope you made the config!
P/S: Also made a reload command. I verry hate to reload the server.

Posted Aug 12, 2013Hi there, I used to use CreativeGates, and I was very happy with it. But I can't make portals with water instead for the netherportal-matter. Usually it was possible to configure this in the config but now is the option "usingWater": true, gone. How do I make my portals use water instead of the netherportal-thingy? Please help :)!

Like the documentation says the permissions are: creativegates.create creativegates.use
@DemonGold @jjcoving
It's a known bug being sent to the nether when in CREATIVE MODE. the portals work as expected when in survival mode. I'm sure this will be patched in 2.0.2 or the version after. Also, water portals are an option in one of the config files (see documentation) with version 2.0.2 (hurry up & approve it already!)

I get this too.
I really like the water portals better than the actual portal blocks. I would rather have water be the default block used as the portal instead.

Posted Aug 11, 2013I've been trying to make gates but when they activate they only connect to the nether...
I'm also getting a string of mcore errors which I'm guessing is connected.
I'm using mcpc+ so that's probably the reason but I just thought I'd see if anyone had any thoughts.
Heres a link to a txt file with the error. Error file
Thanks
Oh and I'm running 1.5.2 using the 1.5.2 CB 1.0 version of the plugin
