What is CreativeGates?
CreativeGates is a plugin that allows you to create teleportation gates without running a single command. The plugin does not impose design restrictions. Design the gate frame any way you like.
- Build a gate frame using any materials. It must however contain two emerald blocks (configurable).
- Name a clock with an anvil.
- Hit the inside of the frame with the clock
- Gates using the same clock name will connect to each other.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put CreativeGates.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- For advanced users only: Configure the MassiveCore aspects and multiverses using the commands.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_mconf/instance.json to your liking.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_conf@universe/instance.json to your liking.
- Configure permissions. CreativeGates only has two nodes.
Portal vs Water
CreativeGates can use either portal blocks or water blocks for portal content. You decide which to use in the "uconf".
For portal blocks to work without bugs you must open your server.properties and set allow-nether=false. This will disable the generation of the vanilla nether map and the vanilla nether portals. This is how we do it on MassiveCraft. You can add one, two or even three custom nether worlds using a world manager plugin later on.
For water blocks to work you don't need to do anything special. If you want the vanilla nether world and portals you probably want to change to water portals in the config. Otherwise players entering nether gates in the nether might exit through creative gates.

Yup, I tried that, same error. I'm running 1.4.6 R01, should I maybe try switching to R02, or do you think that'll make a difference?
EDIT: Tried updating to R02, and it still makes no difference. What the hell?

Posted Dec 22, 2012It stopped working for me today. I updated my java to 7.10, CraftBukkit server to 1.4.6, and downloaded the newest version of this as well as the new version of MultiVerse Core, and when I load the server, this is the only plugin that doesn't load. I get this:

EDIT: If it helps, I've discovered that the previous version of CG (1.3.5) works in place of the new one, with the only flaw (that I've seen so far) being that now when you come out of a gate, you're facing sideways instead of forward. A weird, minor inconvenience, but I can deal with it until the issue with the new one is resolved.

Posted Dec 22, 2012Can you add the ability give certain groups the ability to use the gates? I want to add these gates into donators zones for example Rank A can go to Rank B but Rank B players can't go through to the Rank A zone

- Hotfix so the portals dosent break on restart.
- Ajusted the face direction on exit according to the block face change commit of bukkit.

Posted Dec 10, 2012Hey guys! I just spent two hours and i think i fixed this plugin. The plugin were searching for stationary_water in the portals, but for some reason, when the server starts and the gates are begin activated the stationary_waters converts to water, so when you enter the portal you are not detected by the plugin. I fixed this allowing to the plugin to check when you're in water too.
Also i fixed the orientation when you come out of a portal for the latests bukkit relases (they made a commit that changes the axis and affects the oriention in some cases). This is the commit im talking about: https://github.com/Bukkit/Bukkit/commit/49690f9620b7ed1ed9769cec35d095a3cac33ab0
I made another minus fixes related to chunk loading before the activation of the portal.

Posted Dec 9, 2012i think that you haven't seen that this plugin is for minecraft version 1.2.5, the last minecraft version is 1.4.5, and be sure that it wont work properly
in the most of cases, it may not work
