What is CreativeGates?
CreativeGates is a plugin that allows you to create teleportation gates without running a single command. The plugin does not impose design restrictions. Design the gate frame any way you like.
- Build a gate frame using any materials. It must however contain two emerald blocks (configurable).
- Name a clock with an anvil.
- Hit the inside of the frame with the clock
- Gates using the same clock name will connect to each other.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put CreativeGates.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- For advanced users only: Configure the MassiveCore aspects and multiverses using the commands.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_mconf/instance.json to your liking.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_conf@universe/instance.json to your liking.
- Configure permissions. CreativeGates only has two nodes.
Portal vs Water
CreativeGates can use either portal blocks or water blocks for portal content. You decide which to use in the "uconf".
For portal blocks to work without bugs you must open your server.properties and set allow-nether=false. This will disable the generation of the vanilla nether map and the vanilla nether portals. This is how we do it on MassiveCraft. You can add one, two or even three custom nether worlds using a world manager plugin later on.
For water blocks to work you don't need to do anything special. If you want the vanilla nether world and portals you probably want to change to water portals in the config. Otherwise players entering nether gates in the nether might exit through creative gates.

Also atm the water doesn't fill the inside of the blocks 100%.

On the starting gate, place a step block each side (outside the water) of the diamond block. Players can walk in, but if they try to come back it wont allow them, as the step makes the plugin think the exit blocks are blocked, in effect making your portal one way.
On another topic - Has anyone found an answer to why the permissions don't seem to work? Someone said what i took to mean the perms are ass about, and you need to use negate on all of them for it to work. Another said * perms dont work (although i dont use those).
Surely it cant be hard to make the perms work normally ?
26/6/12 Update: The perms are indeed all backwards. Default behaviour is- "lacking any perm to the contrary allow all" so if you want people to use but NOT make or break gates, you need to use:
- ^creativegates.create
- ^creativegates.destroy
If you want all players to make/break/use gates, don't specify any perms at all!
Potentially in inherited ranks, a lower rank ^ negate may; depending on your plugin overrule a later rank allow permission.
I have updated to v1.3.5 ill let anyone know if perms behaviour changes.

Wack a step block on the side you dont want them coming out on, i accidentally caused this to happen on my portals. That way you can walk in eitherside, but on return will always be on the correct side.

Posted Jun 7, 2012Also wie soll ich des sagen ähm also ich habe alle portale gemacht und es ging auch dan habe ich aber /stoplag eingegeben und /stoplag -c und danach gingen einige portale falsch oder garnichtmehr also falksch man schaut auf einmal andere Richtung und manchmal geht überhaupt nicht nach /stoplag und /stoplag -c aber warum. Bitte dich das du das Problem behebst will nciht immer nach /stoplag portale neu verlegen :(((((((((((((((((

Posted Jun 2, 2012Permissions are ignored on mine as well. This looks amazing but would like to see it updated to fix the bugs. The conf file it provides does NOT give the options like ops only etc like it states in the wiki that it is suppose to. Looks amazing overall though with great potential. Please update and fix so I can use it!
