ClearLagg

Clearlag was designed to reduce lagg on Bukkit/Spigot servers by removing entities, and preventing it through it's many optional features. Of course this plugin can't fix all lag, but it does clear most of it. If your using a larger server with 20+ players, simply using the /lagg clear command can drastically decrease RAM/CPU usage by simply removing your configured entities.

- Permission support
- Entity limiter
- Reduces lag
- Decreasing RAM/CPU usage
- Ability to stop a TNT chain reaction
- Option to limit mob spawners
- Locate overcrowded/abused chunks
- Many easy to use commands
- Real-time module controls
- Very lightweight - only enables selected features
- Remove old logs upon enabling server
- Limit AI processing attributes
- Console support for most commands
- Can adjust times when the server is cleared of lagg
- Completely configurable

Posted Dec 14, 2014Hi bob7l, i would like to see something for "limiting entities in chunk".
I have a skyblock with lot of entities, the idea would be that instead of killing all entities if there's too many, (or i don't know maybe it's already doing that) just reduce entities in the chunk to the max entities.
Also if it's already doing that i have an other suggestions. Let's say a player have too many entities in one chunk, can we do a LIST of what the plugin is suppose to remove first ? Like "item-frame, onGroundItems, Villager" This way, player won't complain, like "Oh no all my villagers are gone". No, just item-frame and onGroundItems would be deleted.
Let's say there a limit of 35 entities in a chunk. And here, a chunk have 60 entities Our list look like that : "item-frame, onGroundItems, Villager". And there's like 10 Item-frames, 30 onGroundItems, and 20 Villagers. Clearlagg will look in order the "List", and kill the right entities. Instead of killing randomly / all of entities, it would kill 10 Item-frames plus, 25 onGroundITems.
this would be awesome.

Atm 1.8 spigot has too many bugs to build a stable clearlag so clearlag most likely wont be updated to 1.8 until a more stable build comes out (or sponge).

The main thing that doesn't work is the useful unloadchunks command. I'm using Spigot 1.8, there are no errors but no chunks are ever unloaded (ie. it says "0 chunks unloaded" always).

If you want bugs fixed, i need someone to go into detail rather then being vague and saying "IT NO WORK". I don't use 1.8 on my servers and i don't plan to. It's incredibly buggy and I'm most likely going to have to convert more of my code to NMS to avoid broken bukkit methods.

Good to hear. Bugs well same as anyone else here have. What i found out that if u type # in front of entity ID/Name it won't be removed. It's rly broken (no offense) a lot of options don't work so i was using older version.

Posted Dec 11, 2014Would be wonderful if this plugin could get an update for 1.8 Entities. A place in config to place false for removal of Banners & Armor Stands.

do you have chunk-entity-limiter: true?
if so, and you have it set to say 40, you can place item frames or whatever, but if the number of entities goes over that number, it will despawn something, almost randomly...either animals, mobs, item frames or signs...until it gets below the number you have set.
I say this cause I just noticed it while playing around with my options for restricting the sizes of player farms...noticed it will randomly despawn item frames along with the animals

I've had the same issue but on a bigger scale, all animals were wiped! I have it set to never remove animals and yet it does
One more thing does this work on 1.8 spigot?

Posted Dec 7, 2014I love this plugin but have a few issues with it. Itemframes disappear randomly, its all set not to take itemframes in the config, yet some disappear, and some stay, it's a very strange and frustrating bug.
Second, Pet wolves are being cleared, even when - wolf is set in the filter.
Thank you for a great plugin, and really hope to see a fix in the near future,

Posted Dec 4, 2014I don't know why everybody says they are having problems using ClearLagg on Spigot 1.8. I'm running Spigot 1.8 right now; the one that lets you use the new MC1.8 features; and ClearLagg is working perfectly for me. It's never on my timings report and my developer nor I can find any bugs in it. Maybe they just have their configs set incorrectly? Anyway, I had a question about the auto-removal feature. Is the auto-removal interval in seconds or ticks?

Posted Dec 4, 2014suggestion!
entity limiter. you can set a value in the config.. eg. "Entity-Limit: 5000" which will make the limit of entities to 5000, and when there are 5000 entities, all the entites will be removed?
