What is AutoMessage?
AutoMessage is an easy to use chat scheduler plugin. It is a plugin perfect for server admins who would like to announce broadcasts at configurable intervals. The plugin features a rich in-game config editor as well as the ability to edit the config from the disk. The plugin is designed to be very lightweight and cause no impact on server resources! Installation:
Just drag and drop into your plugins folder then restart or reload your server! Simple!
Usage and Information:
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.
This plugin features an update command which will check if you are running the latest build and download the update to the plugin folder if it not currently installed. You are required to trigger the command manually and you must restart or reload the server for changes to take effect.

You need to enclose the message with quotes. It should look something like this:
- '&bVous voulez le plugin TreeAssi ...'

I will consider adding support for prefix and suffix. Seems to be a good addition.

The messages are all sent on the main thread so therefore are sync. However, you should understand that sync vs async really won't cause any performance differences in this case as the actual sever impact is next to nothing. As for the file size, I have slowly changed the plugin to better programming practices throughout the development as well as making it a bit more user friendly with in-game commands, variable support, expirations and more. So while the plugin has evolved in the backend the core functionality remains the same just with more features.

I believe that this is an issue in how the configuration is read. I do not have all that much time nowadays with school but I will look into the problems with foreign characters.

the list name is "qfreebuild" and its present in config file but ingame it says it doesn't exist D:... damn
Does this plugin supports url links? I guess not i get errors in console :c

EDIT2: I used Tips before and on each line I had &b, I moved the &b in prefix then removed all &b's on each line.

I've been using AutoMessage for about 2 years. Are all the messages async? I'm noticing that my version (which still works!) is 5kb and now this new one is 48kb ... I'm noticing that this may be a different plugin altogether... guess that makes sense..

If your permissions manager supports it, just deny a group the node.
For example if you had 2 groups: Members and Staff which you wanted separate, you'd give Members the members-only list, then give staff their list but then deny them members' list.
For perm managers such as Privileges and PEX this would be done by appending a - to the start of the node, eg:
permissions: - -AutoMessage.receive.listname
Also, the {DISPLAYNAME} tag recently changed to {DISPLAY_NAME}

Make sure your players have the permission node AutoMessage.receive.default
If you add any other lists than default, or change the name, update/add appropriate nodes.

I think when using apostrophes within messages, the whole message must be enclosed in double quotes.
So @Reekoup's example would be:
- "Le serveur n'a qu'une semaine, des nouveautes sont ajoutees tous les jours !"

You have a few message lines with single apostrophes scattered within them.
For example, the line: - 'Le serveur n'a qu'une semaine, des nouveautes sont ajoutees tous les jours !'
Should be: - 'Le serveur n''a qu''une semaine, des nouveautes sont ajoutees tous les jours !'

Fixed. Your problem was that you had tabs in your config file. They were behind the closing ' of a few of your messages. In the future you can check your yaml file here.
